Hello people!

This place is to talk to me about my edits and tell me how you think I am doing! Thanks so much for constructive criticism!!!

Blade Dance[edit]

It would be nice if you informed me or the current main TL zzhk with regards to such massive edits(I haven't seen them). While I would like a more English styled writing, I'm quite critical about accuracy. Which means the edits have to be TL-checked before such changes are allowed. --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 01:42, 30 July 2013 (CDT)

Log Horizon[edit]

Hello, I saw your edit in LH project. I think you do a good work, however, you changed too much meaning in the words and added some sentence that didn't exist in the raw. While I think your edit is good, I prefer to preserve as much as possible at the original style of the raw material as well as author style of writing.

You're welcomed to edit, but please don't change too much the meaning and style on the source material in your edit. For now I'll undo your work since the edits need to be TL-checked first -- LiTTleDRAgo (Talk) 11:05, 22 December 2013 (CST)
I already TLCed your work as I can, but I'm still not too sure about it. You should talk with other editor too in talk page or forums -- LiTTleDRAgo (Talk) 00:10, 23 December 2013 (CST)

Excuse me, I saw your edit on Vol 6 chapter 2 and in my opinion you're changed too much the novel writing style. Can you please refrain for unnecessary rephrasing and changing the paragraph structure? This is Mamare's novel, not yours.

It seems that the one was wrong is me, your point was valid and there was no rule in BT about westernizing the novel. For now I restored your edit except italic words, because it just seems out of place when other volume using ().
Thanks for your edit in LH series. In the future, please use talk page first if you want to do such changes.
Also, you should fix your attitude when interacting with others especially translators.

ATP[edit]

This whole thing could have been avoided if you consulted him on changes particularly terminology beforehand. Why did you even confronted him the way you did? Given that he spent hours on the work, wouldn't it be common courtesy to give him a heads up? Either way, talk this out with him without being rude about it. It is normal for the main TL to be in charge, defining the style, guidelines as well as terminology. --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 01:16, 31 January 2014 (CST)

You should just leave the Antimagic Academy 35th Test Platoon project alone until you restore a working relationship with the translator. Simon's undo is just the enforcement of 1) Krytk's explicit ban on you working on any his project which made on his talk page 2) your own agreement not to touch any of Krytks projects you amde in the forum (even if it was just sarcastic). --Drowzycow (talk) 10:04, 2 March 2014 (CST)

Antimagic Academy 35th Test Platoon[edit]

First I would like to say that you are right that translators do need accept repairs to there translators. So please tell me which chapter you edited as I can't see to find where my translator reversed your help. I would like to get this worked out for better of the series. Thank you for spending your time on this series :).

English Styled Edit[edit]

Could you state your opinion here? -- LiTTleDRAgo (Talk) 22:00, 24 February 2014 (CST)

Section B Under no circumstances would you (b2) 1. submit works(a) that are licenced(d) in the country the server and/or the submitter is located in. 2. submit translated works(a) copied directly from an unauthorized source such as, but not limited to, online, written sources etc. . If you(b2) submit works(a) that have been authorized by their rights holder, permission, in the form of written/electronic/ printed must be available upon request. All translated works(a) rights are properties of their respective translators. By submitting translated works(a) to this wiki(0) you(b2) agree that All works(a) will be deleted without warning upon request by the copyright holders..

Read the bolded part. You cannot freely edit a translation, especially as radical as what you did without translator's approval, since it would violate the translator's rights. Mayonaka (talk) 23:53, 25 February 2014 (CST)

Mayonaka,

I think therein lies the problem: translators, once they submit their work, should have to petition their project admins for the right to undo someone's edit. Food for thought.--Mosswind (talk) 12:02, 1 March 2014 (CST)

I assume the rule is (maybe I am exaggerating here) necessary evil, because if the translator doesn't have (almost) complete control of their work, he or she might withdraw the translation from this site(in fact, quite a few translators did that already, some due to their conflict with editors). And if the rules is changed so that the translators' work become free for others to edit rampantly, or if after the translators put their work to this site, and is forbidden to take it back down, most translators would probably be so scared to put their works here. That means there would be very few translation in this site.

I got a suggestion that might interest you. How about you ask to create another page for your edits, like what was done here Accel_World on volume 6. If that is possible, at least you do not have to argue with the "purist" translators. One thing though, ask them 1st before you did anything, and be courteous please?
