Tenses is hard

The original Japanese has everything past-tense though... :S --velocity7

• I think that while translating you get the past-tense effect which screws up the timing since the original lines weren't present tense in the first place. That is also why you get some screwy English, despite having enough accuracy to get the idea. Even if you do a pure present tense conversion, it's still screwed up. The largest oddity is the segments that display current or just happenings that have slight ambiguity since they are both current and just happening, making either present or past tense plausible. If you are the one willing to edit and/or proofread scripts for the Symphonic Rain translation project on TLWiki, I'm afraid there won't be much to do at this point. We're in lack for TLers and TL checkers, with Phar being the most active contributor. If you want to participate, feel free to do so, but leave comments as to why you feel a change is needed, using the appropriate template (such as "changed from xxx to yyy because Velocity7 is naughty"). There are examples in the first script on how to do that.
