Alderamin on the Sky (Nejimaki Seirei Senki - Tenkyou no Alderamin) (ねじ巻き精霊戦記 天鏡のアルデラミン) is a Japanese light novel series written by Uno Bokuto (宇野朴人), with illustrations by Sanba Sou (さんば挿), published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko label. The series took the 2nd spot in "This Light Novel is Amazing 2014".

Story Synopsis

The Katjvarna Empire: in a state of war with the adjacent Kioka Republic.

In that region, due to certain circumstances, there was a certain youth unwillingly preparing to take the High Grade Military Officer Exam. His name? Ikta: Disliker of war, lazy, admirer of women.

No one predicted that Ikta would later on become a soldier referred to even as a great commander…

Ikta: the one who survived a world embroiled in war with his superior genius. The curtain is raised at last on a splendid fantasy military history illustrating his dynamic, dramatic life!
