Could be. I understood the text message as a segue into the new part of the story. That is, Haruta received the message, and now we see what is happening a few days later, with the two of them walking through the Arts College and her trying to tell him a story which will turn out to explain just how she wound up with Ryousuke in the first place. I haven't had a native speaker to proof-read what I'm doing in about 25 pages now. She got spooked by the otaku aspect of all this. --Rpapo 10:36, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Incidentally, this wasn't the first native speaker to refuse to help. There was one who frankly told me that I ought to find something with true value to society to work on. For that matter, that one thought I was out of my mind to translate something like this for free. Frankly, if somebody approached me with an offer for me to translate for money, I would recommend they have their head examined. I just looked through the notes you erased, and have only one observation about the multiplication (times) tables, and that is that though Haruta is in general a dunce, he seems to be a good deal better at math than Sena is. I just had a conversation with my Japanese friend, and she tells me that we're both right, sort of. It is a text message, but the content resembles a type of memorization song the Japanese use when teaching children the multiplication tables. --Rpapo 19:58, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
