1) their tools consisted of just spanner and box-end wrenches

(so first, "spanner" is a general term. there are several variations of it, including "box-end wrench". so it's kind of like saying "they had animals and a bear". which type of spanner is the first one? secondly, the construction of this sentence implies that they have several wrenches of both kinds. can you check this pls? because if the first one is an adjustable spanner, then they wouldn't need several of them.)

2)she stirred herself and sat up

(there are 3 meanings of "stir": a) move or cause to move slightly. b) rise or wake from sleep. c) begin or cause to begin to be active or to develop. Which one is it?)

3) The Super Cub was ideal for new riders because was designed to be simple to operate...

(is this just a normal sentence or a commercial slogan? it kinda sounds like one...)

4) However, the served barley tea was made with fresh spring water and so chilly that the surface of their cups fogged.

(mmm, how can it be chilly if it was just made? maybe you meant "hot"?)

5) The secretary watched his back while he was getting the water, fanning himself due to the heat, with a somewhat meaningful look and muttered,

(it was definitely the boy who was fanning himself? not the secretary?)

6) The mouth of the girl was quickly covered.

(is it the secretary who covered her mouth?)
