Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai: Russian Project[edit]

Dear ldiffer,

Welcome to Baka-Tsuki and Thank you for contacting me.

There isn't much for me to say, since you already read the guidelines! :)

Thank you for helping bring this project to the Russian community and i look forward to seeing your translation on the wiki.

Best Regards,

--Nihilim 07:52, 04 March 2012 (CST)

Just a question.[edit]

http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Gh&rcid=149674

Just wondering what story this is, because it's very vague when you leave the title as Gh and not link any pages to it. (Other than your talk page)--Teh Ping 07:00, 7 April 2012 (CDT)

Looking at the English translation, it is the story from Sayonara Piano Sonata Volume 1 Chapter 3.--Gwilthyunman 07:05, 7 April 2012 (CDT)

yes, piano sonata. but dudes, you all probably know that i don't TL into english. i just needed to get the text without symbols specific to BT, like <!-- -->, or <em></em>. hence, i didn't put a chapter or project name on the page. if it's on my user or talk page - it's for personal use.--Idiffer 07:31, 7 April 2012 (CDT)

Okay then, but just remember to give proper names to your pages because other people will be asking the same time (and will sometimes delete, just in case).--Teh Ping 08:26, 7 April 2012 (CDT)

Hi! I don't know If I'm doing this right or not... But yeah I do have it posted somewhere, it's on Mibba.com, my screen name there is also 'deck of cards' so you should be able to find it no problem! On my profile I have all my chapters and some character designs. If you check it out please tell me what you think! Deck of cards 01:00, 18 May 2012 (CDT

You press the 'Stories' link at the top of the page and that will send you to a page where in the middle right portion of it will have a box that says 'Story links'. Under there you will find the links that will allow you to search for screen names Deck of cards 01:22, 18 May 2012 (CDT)

Cool! Please don't mind the spelling errors and the flat out bad writing on the first few chapters. I didn't actually get a proper grasp on how to write until at least the 5th one. I'm editing them properly for BT right now. Thanks again for reading! Deck of cards 02:02, 18 May 2012 (CDT)

Kikou Shoujo[edit]

Since you didn't know, Kira was the one translating the prologue originally. The new translator didn't notice that Kira was the one translating so he ended up starting it from scratch. But Kira is letting him take over the prologue. Stellarroze 13:53, 7 April 2012 (CDT)

Page for personal use[edit]

Can you please move the "This page is for personal use" into a more specific page name? Sorry, but it's just that the page name is a bit...general. XD Kira (Talk) 16:51, 17 April 2012 (CDT)

i can try... and why is everyone interested in pages i create for myself only?

--Idiffer 17:00, 17 April 2012 (CDT)

Well, the thing is that it would be better to title it properly. I mean, you can put something like "Page for personnel Use - Idiffer" since it would create less confusion on whom does the page belong to. Kira (Talk) 21:10, 17 April 2012 (CDT)

Legend of the sun knight[edit]

Dear ldiffer,

Sorry for the slow reply, very busy RL unfortunately.

Regarding your new project, the answer is yes.

You will have to create an English index page, however you only have to create a minimum layout, my suggestion is that you simply mirror the current Russian index page of LotSK, minus the links to the translated chapters. Then link the Russian alternative language index page to this English page.

Please email me the link to this English page, when you have done and i will approve this project ASAP. :)

Best Regards,

Tsukumodo Antique Shop[edit]

Thanks for your friendly words for my work on Tsukumodo. I'm not actually new here - did very minor edits on Haruhi, a little bit on Toradora, and quite a lot of work on Gekkou, Utsuro no Hako, and Tabi ni Deyou. When I saw that EEE had a new project in the teaser section I was delighted - I generally like what he chooses to translate. I'll probably be putting some labor into Iris on Rainy Days because it needs and deserves help as well... --Senile seinen 19:00, 8 July 2012 (CDT)

I put you some edits and notes in on Tsukumodo V2C1. Please clean them up after reading. Can't edit live from work, so interactive time at BT is limited. --Senile seinen 21:41, 9 July 2012 (CDT)

I have gone back and am working on the last two stories of V1. So do whatever you want with V2C1. I'll go back to that in another couple of days. Iris is going to take a lot of work, so I can work on that until you have integrated the edits on Silence. EEE looks like he is working on the new volume of Hako, so I don't expect to see him around Tsukumodo at all for a while.

Hey - just an update. Sorry I haven't gotten around to doing much w/Tsukumodo recently; I've mainly been editing V5 of Utsuro no Hako on EEE's private wiki (he's already finished translating it). What editing energy remains after that has been spent on small/trivial/consistency/etc edits to earlier Utsuro no Hako volumes. (I'd try to justify that by saying that once EEE posts v5, there'll be lots of new eyeballs on the rest of the series...but that's total bs. Laziness...pure laziness... :D) Hope the ru TL's are going well... Grrarr (talk) 20:25, 14 August 2012 (CDT)

Sorry - should have specified PM via B-T forums... Grrarr (talk) 23:47, 15 August 2012 (CDT)

Idiffer's Beta Files[edit]

A suggestion. Rather than creating a temp/test page in the main namespace, it would be better if you moved it to User:Idiffer/Sandbox. The slash(/) ensures that it stays under your own personal user space. and a back link to your page is automatically created. Zero2001 - Talk - 17:16, 3 August 2012 (CDT)

There are many different namespaces used in MediaWiki based sites. User-space is the space given to users. When you write User:[YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE] and put a slash after that and write a page name, like the link I gave above, you create a subpage. Please use that for temporary text, testing and archival purposes. For example: User:Zero2001/Sandbox, I use this page to create/test templates before I finalize and put them in the Template-space. And User Talk:Zero2001/Archive 1, I use this for storing my outdated messages. Anyways it's complex to explain the fine details. Just use the link I gave in the above post, You'll see it is a part of your own user space with an automatically generated link to your user page. It's better than putting it on the main-space which is for project or volume or chapter pages, etc. Zero2001 - Talk - 18:34, 3 August 2012 (CDT)

You're welcome. BTW. Did you know you can edit your signature to include a direct link to your talk page like I have? Zero2001 - Talk - 10:48, 4 August 2012 (CDT)

It's actually very easy and a lot like wiki coding. Go to your preferences (top right). Scroll down until you get to the Signature section (It's in the User Profile). Write/Copy the following into the textbox in that section: "[[User:Idiffer|Idiffer]] - [[User Talk:Idiffer|Talk]] - " (Note the spaces, they're important, copy everything inside the speechmarks). Make sure the "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)" checkbox is checked. You will see a preview of your signature (minus the timestamp) above the textbox. You can modify it as you want. It's just the same as writing and linking on the wiki. See, easy peasy. It certainly helps (and is less annoying) going directly to a user's talk page rather than going through the user page over and over. Zero2001 - Talk - 13:05, 4 August 2012 (CDT)

Russian Project with Original Translated Content[edit]

dEar ldiffer,

Apologies for the slow reply, it was difficult to know who was sending me a message since you did not leave a signature!

In regards to your questions to "Legend of the sun knight Русский" and "Sayonara piano sonata ~Русский", you are correct.

You will have to create a English Index page that will link to the Russian Language versions, for example please see:

Welcome to the N.H.K!

Which only has the Lithuanian alternative language project, please use this as a reference.

I see no problem approving those two projects, so as soon as you create those two English "front pages", please send me the links.

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Onizuka-GTO (talk) 12:15, 27 August 2012 (CDT)

Edit: ah, my apologies again! Noticed you already have one done for Sayonara piano sonata ~Русский!

It's late here! haha.

Therefore you will only need one for the "Legend of the sun knight Русский".

Best Regards,

Onizuka-GTO (talk) 12:20, 27 August 2012 (CDT)

Hi there, there are some questions and needed changes regarding sos-dan that need to be done. Also I'm contacting you because you ar e in contact with the translator on that site. You should have gotten a new contact request in Skype. As from that point I will talk in Russian to make it easier. Thanks.
