Mohorovičić discontinuity[edit]

The Mohorovičić discontinuity, usually referred to as the Moho, is the boundary between the Earth's crust and mantle. It was first discovered in 1909 by the Crotian seismologist Andrijia Mohorovičić, and is named after him.

Veritaserum[edit]

Veritaserum is a highly potent truth potion in the Harry Potter series, similar to modern day truth serums. Three drops would apparently be strong enough to make you spill out all your innermost secrets.

Purple Diploma[edit]

The purple diploma is a diploma issued to those who show excellence in visual arts and literature, and have contributed to the above fields. The ribbon is purple, hence the name.

Silver Goblet of Hemlock[edit]

The silver goblet of hemlock is a cup of poison that the Greek philosopher Socrates was sentenced to consume.

Orienteering[edit]

Orienteering is a running sport involving a map and a compass. The competition is a timed race where a team or individual has to navigate his way with the help of a special map and magnetic compass. Check points are often set up to ensure the participants run the course as described in the map instead of taking short cuts. See here[[1]] for more info

Bullet Time[edit]

Bullet time is the infamous sequence made popular by The Matrix. Everything is slowed down to the point where you can see bullets slowly moving through the air (hence the name), while the camera continues to move around the scene at a normal speed.

Time Planes, Cartoons and Water[edit]

When Mikuru first explained to Kyon about time travel, she used cartoons and drawings as an example. She also stated that time was not like water, where the flow was continuous.

Psychedelic Mushroom[edit]

Commonly known as magic mushrooms or laughing mushrooms, these mushrooms are known to cause whoever who eat them to fall into an insane fit of laughter. See here[[2]]

TRANSLATOR'S NOTE: In the original novel, Kyon mentioned something about Karakasa and laughing mushrooms, which I have no idea how to translate, so I opted for the closest meaning, the psychedelic mushroom. Can anyone shed some light on this matter? I would like to retain the translation as close to the original as possible. Thanks in advance. --HolyCow 19:32, 26 November 2006 (PST)

Well a Karakasa is just that, a Karakasa...

100% complete ?[edit]

I'm sorry, but I can't help thinking there is really at least a few sentences or the last page missing (" )

DarkoNeko talk 13:46, 26 November 2006 (PST)

The only things I left out were the mushroom and Karakasa references, which is discussed here[[3]]. I emitted the entire paragraph, and will continue to use "psychedelic mushroom" for the momment, until someone can explain to me what the hell Karakasa has to do with those mushrooms (Btw, I can't find the Japanese names for those mushrooms either. Someone care to enlighten me about this?). --HolyCow 02:15, 28 November 2006 (PST)

A small error in the hyperlink[edit]

Just to point out a minor error in the navigation links at the bottom of the page. It should be "Back to: Where Did the Cat Go?" instead of "Charmed at First Sight LOVER" --155.31.211.9 19:14, 16 April 2007 (PDT)
