Making some grammatical and general editing changes. As it stands right now, the flow of text for this chapter is pretty poor so I'm trying to clean it up. 192.55.54.38

Vocabulary Consistency[edit]

As I read through the novel for the first time, I noticed that there is a great deal of inconsistent vocabulary being used from chapter to chapter. One example is the name of the Flicaubh's squadron. In Ch. 2, it is called the 'Scourge Squadron,' but later in the novel I believe it is called the 'Destruction Squadron.' I think it is called 'Scourge Squadron' in the anime. So, I thought I would start a topic geared toward vocabulary consistency. I'm sure there are several other words that are not consistently used throughout...as far as the squadron name, I prefer Scourge Squadron over Destruction Squadron...it just sounds more intimidating. ;) I'm open to other's thoughts, though.

Are there other words that need to be settled on throughout the chapters?

Crosschecking with Japanese text[edit]

Since the chapter was translated from Chinese there are some discrepancies with the Japanese original in it. I found some (absolutely no guarantee that I found all of them) and corrected, with great help of Almael. Here's a list of what I changed:

- "Ion cannons" replced with "laser cannons";

- Gurinshia changed from male to female;

- The text correction (missing line added): from

"Captain, you can stop teasing me," replied Arubofu, "This also pertains to my life as well!"
"Just thinking about my own insignificant life has already overwhelmed me!" Arubofu explains.

to

"Captain, you can stop teasing me," replied Arubofu, "This also pertains to my life as well!"
"And my life doesn't matter?" Ekuryua interjected.
"Just thinking about my own insignificant life has already overwhelmed me!" Arubofu explained.

- The text correction: from

"Is it repairable?" Lafiel asks Gurinshia.
"Negative." The chief engineer answered without hesitation.
"Forget it, there are always other ways." Arubofu took the initiative and shouldered the blame.

to

"Is it repairable?" Lafiel asks Gurinshia.
"Negative." The chief engineer answered without hesitation.
"I guess." Lafiel glanced at the gunnery officer.
"Forget it, there are always other ways." Arubofu refuted.

So, the versions before 26th August are pure translations from Chinese and the version of 26th August is a translation from Chinese partially crosschecked and corrected with the Japanese original.

Okay, since Japanese-crosschecked version was separated to its own page, I undid the changes I made here.--Ushwood 05:46, 27 August 2011 (CDT)
