Hidan no Aria[edit]

Thanks for all the edits. You're awesome. I never knew I was making so many mistakes. I'll just be tweaking some of your edits here and there, trying to mix and match to fit the original novel. Translation is a collaborative project, after all. Also, I'll be adding your name in editor, so it might be nice if you could add something to your user page to make your name nice and blue. Just putting "Hi." is fine, it just looks better on the title page. Once again, thanks for all the help. - YoakeNoHikari 20:54, 12 May 2011 (UCT)

wow awesome quotes you got there XD

Well, once the chapter done, I wish to have it like GIV, but with the real Roman "IV". But for now, GIV and GIII. XD Kira (Talk) 15:35, 3 June 2012 (CDT)

Thanks for being awesome again. - YoakeNoHikari (talk) 17:17, 25 August 2012 (CDT)

Not really. I was translating in that retarded manner on purpose, believe it or not. Yes, I know I'm retarded, no need to remind me. - YoakeNoHikari (talk) 04:04, 28 August 2012 (CDT)

Hello, I'm picking up HnA, and I need an Editor.(preferably one that can double-check with the Japanese raw to preserve accuracy as I'm translating from CN to EN, so it's bound to have inaccuracies.) Thanks. ^.^ -NiMx1233 (talk) 04:35, 4 January 2013 (CST)

Done![edit]

I hadn't made one yet because I wasn't sure about editing. Do I have to register in the forum too? --ppaaccoojrf 16:30, 18 August 2011 (CDT)

Editing[edit]

'llo there. Do you know it's okay to do multiple edits at the same time? On the Recent changes-page I've seen long lists of tiny, tiny edits of yours, and doing it like that isn't really necessary. Honestly, it also clutters the Recent changes and makes it harder to keep track of other projects that way. Therefore I would be very glad if you could adjust a little--Kadi 12:27, 29 August 2011 (CDT)

Sorry, didn't see that you edited many different parts. I only checked one or two and went back in the history and you only changed one detail each time, that's probably why I didn't see it properly. Doesn't matter then. Thanks for clearing it up. (I don't hide minor edits because many people don't use it or overuse it)--Kadi 13:42, 29 August 2011 (CDT)

Toaru Spinoffs[edit]

I am not the admin or supervisor of Toaru. I designed the template but I have based all the names off the Toaru Main Page. Plus I don't read Toaru. The only one who has the authority to allow or execute such an action would be the Toaru Admin or Supervisor. If I have their permission then I may, else not. I am sorry for not being much help. Ask them if they agree then inform me. Once I confirm it I will change it to what you wish. Put this on the Toaru Nav Talk Page's related section. Zero2001 - Talk - 17:52, 3 September 2011 (CDT)

Where did you get the green light? Sorry but I need to confirm it. Also there hasn't been any change on the Toaru Main Page. Zero2001 - Talk - 05:40, 4 September 2011 (CDT)

Confirmation recieved. Making Changes. Zero2001 - Talk - 10:37, 5 September 2011 (CDT)

IS Ehhh[edit]

It was already decided to englishify eh, oi, eto, etc (those that can be clearly translated). I'm just doing that. I can somewhat understand your objections but it would now go against conformity. But you are somewhat right about the "Ehhhh~" with girls. I'll try and think of something that fits the mood/circumatnces more than "whaat". If I can't then perhaps I'll leave it as "Ehhh~". Past tense for non-character narration; reason for got not being get[edit]

Normally in english when a non-character narration occurs (ie: when the narration is not done by one of the characters, in IS' case Ichika, Houki, etc) the tense used is past tense, got, was, were, had, etc (of course there are exceptions). I think you should leave it as it is. I had to go through everything and change the non-character narration from present to past tense. It was tough work. Character Narration is another story, it can be in past, present or future tense depending on the circumstances. Zero2001 - Talk - 20:34, 17 September 2011 (CDT)

But I've reviewed your edit on IS:Volume4 Chapter2‎, as long as they are in the past tense in non-character narration I have no objection. Unfortunately I cannot edit in the same manner as you since for me right now I cannot see the problems you can see although I can see and understand them as you make the changes. So how about I review your edits just as you are reviewing mine. Two heads are better than one, no? It might take longer but it can't be helped. Zero2001 - Talk - 20:49, 17 September 2011 (CDT)

Email Problems[edit]

Dear Hiro,

Just seeking a little more information, I would appreciate if you can just answer a few of my questions:

When did you notice you stopped receiving email notification from Baka-Tsuki?

Is this the same email account you used to register on Baka-Tsuki?

Have you attempted to change your email to a non-Yahoo/Hotmail account?

If you have did you receive any notification?

The more information i can collect the better picture i can present to the Big Boss.

Thank you for your co-operation and i apologise for the inconvenience caused!

Regards,

Onizuka-GTO 09:49, 23 September 2011 (CDT)

Highschool DxD[edit]

I added character list and terminology list. If I made a mistake please help. Thanks.

--Code-Zero 02:59, 13 February 2012 (CST)

In lue of what u said, there might be consistency but grades refer to those who still persue their schooling while 'year' is only for those persuing degree courses. Though after 10th it is said that college has started, grade system still applies there. Changing grade to year will compltely diviate from the timeline. If not agreeable, consider this as the same when 'Gakuen' was edited to 'Academy' and as such others. --Chancs 15:56, 9 March 2012 (CST)

Fine...no problem with as suggested :) . But as a query, in Japan, 2nd year=11th grade, 3rd year=12th grade and 1st year=10th grade right? Also, do they have different recognition for university students than the Western culture? --Chancs 16:11, 9 March 2012 (CST)

I changed it to as per our discussion. --Chancs 16:17, 9 March 2012 (CST)

Actually, 'Year' is used quite commonly outside of Canada and the U.S. for primary and secondary education. Using the term 'high school 1st/2nd/3rd year' would actually be the least ambiguous. Especially for English readers outside the U.S. who are not acquainted with the 12 grade system (Britain's system goes to Year 13, for example, while Ontario schools in Canada only moved to 12 grades in recent years.) That said, there's nothing wrong with calling high school seniors 12th graders since Japan does have a 12 year system. Just slightly jarring to people who think of high school graduating at Grade 13. Perhaps a translation note in the first volume when the main character starts school would suffice.

I'll see what I can do. -00:02, 10 March 2012 (CST)

will you please look into the vol 11 Text file that I have created? There are some problems surfacing such as no new chapter titles after Life 2 till Life... --Chancs 20:53, 13 May 2012 (CDT)

Just finished.. i shorten them and deleted the unnecessary words.. just tell me if they are more errors.. thx for telling..Just4fun May 25 2012

Officially dropping the edits for DxD. I began to start back up today but as I looked at what I had previously edited, there just lacks a continuity in the decision for the tense choices between the other editors. Parts of my edits are no longer there and somehow ended up reverted. In my opinion, there is no real solution to this but to have definite guidelines for futures translators and editors. Skies 8/16/12

Hi! I would like to translate HSDXD on Serbian. But there is not a language tab for my language. So is it possible to add Serbian, so i can start translating it? Or... Because couple of my friends liked anime very much, and they wanted to read more, but they are not speaking English good, so they can't read properly. If it is possible i would like to get a languge tab. Very much appretieted. Cheers --Leksa-Kun (talk) 08:52, 15 December 2014 (CST) Leksa-Kun

Papakiki Specific Guidelines[edit]

As this project may not have a lot of terminology, and also there are a few staff working on it, please use this thread to discuss among staff first, and let the guidelines grow for a while before creating such a page: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=4824

Of course implementation could be done once agreement is reached without the page being created. --larethian 19:42, 22 February 2012 (CST)

Hina's speech was intentional. --Zephyrus 22:47, 1 March 2012 (CST)

Volume 4?[edit]

Do you mean the editing for volume 3? If not, I haven't read, much less edited volume 4 at all. -Skies

I see. I've been going back and forth because of the awkwardness. There are times when he's actually commenting on something, which makes it present tense and when he recalls it narrates it, making it past tense.

Decisions decisions... -Skies

Apologies[edit]

Sorry, I accidentally reverted the changes in your talk page. I changed back, but I wanted to say sorry. -Kira (Talk) 16:00, 26 February 2012 (CST)

Monogatari series[edit]

You should move the pages to the same namespace as the project. You moved them to 'Monogatari', but the project is 'Monogatari Series'. And you should not delete the old pages right away because there may multiple places that link to it, and these links become dead. As a matter of fact, there is actually no real need to delete the old pages because they are already redirecting to the new pages unless there is a name collision or if you want to clean them up because they have become orphaned. So, you should only delete them until you are sure that they have become orphaned . --larethian 21:00, 21 March 2012 (CDT)

About the reverted edit[edit]

No need to worry, I assumed it was a mistake. Anything you'd like to ask?

Damaged PDF[edit]

Hello there, you mentioned on my page that some PDF direct link(s) are damaged, may I know which are damaged ? All of the seems to be working.

Incomplete Template???[edit]

I don't understand which one you're talking about and which one is incomplete? Can you be more specific? Also answer here. I'm watching your page so I'll know when you post. Zero2001 - Talk - 19:15, 6 July 2012 (CDT)

Ah the incomplete template. What's wrong with me telling them to use it? If they don't want to they can just ignore my comments. Simple. But seriously I don't think it's nice not to be forewarned that the chapter isn't complete. I read it to find that it's incomplete or get confused when it seems complete and it isn't. It's happened more times than I remember. So, your choice. You may ignore my comments and leave the posting of the template to me, or take a few seconds of you time to write a single line of easily recallable code. But I don't think I did a bad thing my telling them to use it. I've seen what happens when you don't and it's not pretty. Believe it! Zero2001 - Talk - 19:25, 6 July 2012 (CDT)

About the Monogatari-series[edit]

Hello dear Hiro Hayase, Editor of the Monogatari-series and other projects on Baka-Tsuki.

First, i want to thank you for your work. I am a great fan of the Monogatari-series and have just finished reading the novel of "Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp". Of course I wish to continue reading it. I noticed that after the novels of "Nekomonogatari", the following novels aren't yet completely translated (wich, of course, is to be expected). Therefore i would like to know how things are progressing with this series. Basically meaning, can I expect that the chapters and novels will be translated soon (one at a time of course), or is the progress-rate of it rather slow.

I apologize for asking such a bold question and hope you understand it as just pure curiosity of a fan who, sadly, doesn't understand japanese, and therefore has to wait for a translation. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Yours sincerely King.of.Oddities
