At the moment, it's translated to Marshal, as Field Marshal suggests a land-based command (correct me if I'm wrong, not exactly too great on my military terminologies). Commander-in-chief is somewhat wordy, and also suggests a more active role in the command.

Commander-in-chief/ Field Marshal/ Marshal[edit]

The term for Guiche's dad, which is basically a ceremonial head of the army from the sounds of things.

It was translated to admiral previously (which I thought had naval connotations). Therefore, I'm more inclined to more general based chief-of-staff.

At the moment, it's translated to Marshal, as Field Marshal suggests a land-based command (correct me if I'm wrong, not exactly too great on my military terminologies). Commander-in-chief is somewhat wordy, and also suggests a more active role in the command.
