Yes, you're right, it was. I started translating sections of the novel in 2010 before SW season 2 aired, then I decided to fully translate the novel. I just think that there's not much point in having the same translation of the same books on two separate sites, that's all. I know it started off here, but I'm going to finish it, and for me it's easier to have it on the wikia, as it's a community dedicated to Strike Witches, and I've been there since I started the translation. I started doing it for the people on the wikia - the reason I came here in the first place was just to let people know that the project isn't dead, because I know a lot of people probably don't know I'm working on the wikia. Is that ok? - [[User:Britfag|Britfag]]

To get the picture in the text you just have to write at the right place as an example <nowiki> [[Image:SW_vol1c04_01.jpg|thumb|''Below her short, cropped hair, she was blushing red up to her eyes.'']]</nowiki> if you want text below the image or just <nowiki> [[Image:SW_vol1c04_01.jpg|thumb]] </nowiki> without extra text. --[[User:Darklor|Darklor]] 01:47, 6 March 2012 (CST)

Thanks a bunch, I'll do all the pictures once I've finished these chapters of volume 2. If that page view thing below each of the chapters is to be believed, then there are a hell of a lot of people reading the translations on this site. So, I will put my translations for the final two novels on here too to avoid complications with people not knowing where to find them. However, I will put them on the Wikia first. There are often a few sentences I can't translate first time round, and I end up doing loads of editing on the Wikia - so I'll put it up here once I've edited it there. I realise there are also a few little differences from my translation to selkirk's (eg Neuroi names, Haruka always referring to Tomoko as shou-i), would you prefer it if I changed those details to make the translations match up better? --[[User:Britfag|Britfag]] 11:42, 10 March 2012 (CST)

Article discussion

I moved the content that was here to the Strike Witches Format Guidelines page as that is more appropriate for the subject matter. This page should be more for discussion on the content of the main page.

Project abandoned

This project hasn't been updated in so long. Perhaps move it into abandoned projects?

Only if Oni or someone else with the power to decide, updates the {{Template:STALLED}}stalled tag from 12 to six month... --Darklor 18:57, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Volunteer Translator

Hi,

I'm new and I would be willing to continue translating the Strike Witches novel series. I'm currently learning Japanese at the moment and this would be a perfect opportunity to apply what I learn as I go. So if anyone was willing to edit for me and point me in the right direction on where to get raws, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

-Leyana 18/08/2010

You could try to ask another of the translators of this project, if they would/could provide you with some raws for translation reasons here or in the forum. --Darklor 16:35, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

I would be willing to provide the first volume of "Misfits" (RAW). Simply show me where to send it. ~Mr Bystander

Wow~~ Someone willing to translate the Suomus version..?? I'll be waiting for it!! I really love the Suomus version~~ :) Sadly, I can't speak Japanese, so I can't help you to translate it.... T__T --SWEnthusiast

....is this project has been in stalled state? 'cause it looks like it hasn't been edited for....more than 7 months...? O.o - RasteShelphyd 22:35, 30 May 2011 (UCT)

Please... Anybody translate this. Even if its just the soumus part. I'm really looking forward to this. My japanese still isn't good enough to help translating. T.T ANYBODY PLEASE... -- new guy YoshikuniKAITO

Translations

Hello,

I am currently working on this novel and my translations can be found on the Strike Witches Wikia. It is my unfinished version of chapter 5 which is currently up on this site - I didn't give permission for it to be posted here. At first I was unwilling to post my translation, but I understand that there are probably many people who don't know that I'm working on this and that it can be found on the wikia. Not to mention chapters 1-4 are already here.

As of next week, I will be able to put up translations up to Volume 2 chapter 3.

Edit: There's no point having my full translations on two different sites, so I'm going to complete volume 1 here, and volume 2&3 will be on the Strike Witches wikia. It's nothing personal, that's just where I'm based.

Oh, I only know to read the translation here. OK, for volume 2, I'll go to Wikia to read it. And thanks for translating it~ :) - RasteShelphyd
