Epilogue[edit]

A few days later, the Hunter’s Guild and the Royal Court has come to an agreement that the Royal Armory had been making moves on their own.

An announcement was made that the Royal Court had been worried about the Lao-Shan Lung’s presence for quite some time. Wanting in on the glory of eliminating the threat, the Royal Armory and a group of knights collaborated in secret to develop the Dragon Destroyers without the king’s approval. They then proceeded to use the city as their test site.

They seemed to think that the Lao-Shan Lung continued existence is due to the hunters’ negligence. Additionally, they were also dissatisfied at the fact that the hunters are hailed as heroes who protect the kingdom from monsters. For those reasons, they devised the plan to eliminate both the dragon and the hunters at once.

Whether this story is the truth, or just the Royal Court using the Royal Armory as a scapegoat, no one will ever know.

At any rate, the Royal Armory had received the immediate order to disband. The reading of all materials related to this project have been forbidden, and such documents will be archived in the deepest depths of the castle.

Viscount Sir Mirion Brandar, commander of the Thirteenth Order of the Royal Armory, has disappeared without a trace. Rumor has it that the Guild Knights had a role in his disappearance, but there is no way of proving it.

Fortunately, Gannon Denon and Elmeria Franport never had to deal with any pursuers after the incident, and there was no one from the capital that came for them either.

For bravely rushing into the city alone in order to stop the experiment, Young Mistress Narumi Wimberly was reprimanded heavily by Lord Wimberly, her father. Grounded from all activities for half a month, she resumed her protests immediately after the ban was lifted, causing headaches for hunters all over the region.

And today, too... the hunters set off on their adventures.

Moving on with their lives as a functioning part of this world.
