Track 8: Traitor[edit]

FX:*galloping*

Wolfram: My older brother should have arrived there by now, so everything might already be under control. I don't think it's that dangerous, but you're a henachoko! So don't go where I can't see you.

Yuuri: Don't call me a henachoko... Ah... a kotsuhizoku. A kohi is flying! As usual, you're everywhere. Ah!!! Wolfram look!

Wolfram: The town is burning? That's strange... I thought everything would have been settled down by now...

Yuuri: But it's really burning all over! Are those guys all right? Are they!?

Wolfram: Hu...

Adalbert: Well, well New Majesty the Maou.

Wolfram: You bastard!

Yuuri: You... were... Adalbert was it?

Adalbert: Oh, you have a good memory! And I thought you were just an idiot.

Yuuri: Well, I'm sorry for looking like an idiot.

Adalbert: Hey, hey. I came to save you from the mazoku's horribly filthy hands.

Yuuri: Save... me...?

Adalbert: You were suddenly brought to another world, and coerced into being the new maou, right? The maou is the enemy of humans. This world has become corrupted and fallen into ruin because of their heinous existence. You look like a young human with good intentions to be made out to be such a monster, don't you think? Well, isn't that too much? Don't you think that's too cruel?

Yuuri: Is that so Wolfram?

FX:*frozen*

Wolfram: ...Gh..

Yuuri: So after all, I don't possess the maou's soul, huh?

Wolfram: Yuu... ri...

Adalbert: What these guys need is a sacrifice, a king to set up on the throne. And a pure boy who doesn't know anything and can't pose any resistance is good for them. All humans hostile towards the mazoku will hate you, their maximum leader, and that's the only reason why they made you the maou.

Yuuri: ... I ...

Adalbert: You're a good human, am I right?

Yuuri: Yeah, I'm a human. I'm not a mazoku, or the maou...

Wolfram: Don't listen... to him!

Yuuri: Wolfram...!

FX:*pants*

Wolfram: That man... while being a mazoku.... he betrayed us... He'll try... to bring you... into his group, too.

Yuuri: Hey, can't you breathe? Say, someone! Huh? They've fallen on the ground. What happened to everyone?

Adalbert: His subordinates are having pleasant dreams. But because you have so much maryoku you can't fall completely in my control isn't that right, Third Son?

Yuuri: Magic?

Adalbert: The one that's the opposite of maryoku, houjutsu. Even though you're protecting the king, they're all pure-blooded mazoku, that got stuck in a simple human magic barrier. At a time like this, you should always have one soldier in the back who can dispel magic. This is why I say that you know nothing about the world and you're too naive.

FX: *Wolfram pants*

Adalbert: Wolfram, you always said it yourself. What can humans do? They're like worms, it would be a mistake if they opposed mazoku. Look, the humans you hate so much are setting mazoku land on fire.

Yuuri: Humans!? Why are humans fighting other humans!? The refugee children were living peacefully, and you're saying that human soldiers attacked them!?

Wolfram: You bastard, did this ... somehow!!!

Adalbert: I just gave a little advice. Do you know this? Last year there was a record setting crop and those guys increased taxes. This year they collected taxes using the same calculations as last year and so there was nothing left to eat. There were only two choices; starve or get more supplies. They asked for my advice. So I told them. Their neighboring village was here in the land of the mazoku that they should hate. Their god will not be angry if they steal from people who cultivate on mazoku land, and live on mazoku soil.

Yuuri: But ... they're humans! They're the same, humans, aren't they!?

Adalbert: No! They aren't the same. This village has humans who side with the mazoku.

Yuuri: I don't get it!!!

Adalbert: It's fine, you don't need to understand. At any rate, I came here to help you get out Yuuri. Once you take sides with the mazoku, you won't be comrades again with the humans.

Yuuri: I could never....

Wolfram: Go

Yuuri: Eh?

Wolfram: From the looks of it, he's not planning on killing you. It'll be troublesome if you get hurt trying to resist. Go with Adelbert for now.

Yuuri: But, you and everyone...

Wolfram: Don't worry about us!!! Hurry up and go, Yuuri!

Adalbert: That's right, Wolfram. The moment you lose this guy you'll have to summon some new kid. Even if you're safe, your elder brothers would blame you for losing the candidate for maou from right under your nose. It's always a wise choice to protect him rather than struggle and lose his life.

Wolfram: ...I'll come for you. Definitely.

Yuuri: Adalbert... don't think that I'll ride with you because you helped me...

Adalbert: Can you ride by yourself?

Yuuri: By myself? No way!

FX: * kicks a horse to make them leave *

Wolfram: Yuuri!!!

Adalbert: *gasp* ...Why did you do that?

Yuuri: Wolfram did choose one last person. That person was me; it's just that you didn't notice.

Adalbert: Yuuri, I said that I would take you away from the mazoku for your sake. So why would you do something especially to screw with us, eh?

Yuuri: I decided to stay till the end. In this attraction that's like a bad dream.... But, it's not you who I will stay with till the end. I don't want you on my team.

Adalbert: *laughs* Hey, hey, don't do that! I told you not to be afraid, I went through great pains worrying about you.

FX:*unsheathes sword*

Adalbert: I guess I'll have to end this quickly.... and kill the maou.

Yuuri: Huh? Didn't you say this before? I'm an average human, they set me up as the maou because my hair and eyes happen to be black!

Adalbert: Would Shinou play a joke like that? Unfortunately, you're the real deal.

FX: *attacks Yuuri and Kohi protects him*

Yuuri: Kohi!!! No way, did you protect me!? Why did something like this....!?

Adalbert: This is the first time I've seen one of the kotsuhizoku act like that. Risking its life to protect its master? Tsk, I ended up slicing some strange thing...

Yuuri: What do you mean by 'strange thing'!? What the hell does someone like you know about kohis!? Well, I don't know much about him either... but...

Adalbert: You feel sympathy for this race that has no will. The maou this time really is a king of the commoners...

Conrad: Your majesty!!!

Adalbert: *gasp* The situation has turned against my favor in just a single moment? Damn. Then I'll withdraw for the time being. King of the Commoners, how long will you be able to sustain your lofty ideals? It'll be worth seeing it!

FX: *horses galloping*

Conrad: Ho! I'm relieved, Yuuri. *pants* I thought it would be too late.

FX:*Conrad hugs Yuuri*

Yuuri: I'm relieved, too. I can finally understand what it feels like when men hug each other firmly in the movies.

FX:*they both laugh*

Wolfram: How long are you going to keep that up!?

Yuuri: What's wrong with you? Don't sulk, Wolfram! Or rather... are you okay now, after that opposing magic or whatever from before?

Wolfram: Hmph. There's no reason for you to worry about me.

Yuuri: *pouting* Fine, then I won't be worried, but ...

Conrad: He just suffered the consequences of his actions. Acting so rashly and bringing your Majesty all the way here is....

Yuuri: But more importantly, how did you get here so quickly?

Conrad: I was fighting near the border across the village, but the kotsuhizoku that followed our troops sensed its companion's predicament. Ahh... did I tell you this before? They have a peculiar ability to communicate their thoughts. They can have conversations with only their spirits if they're not far away. So, I left that place to Gwen and met Wolfram and the rest while galloping here...

Yuuri: Ah! That's right! What should we do? The Kohi! *grabs* You gave your life for me... ahh.... I'm really sorry, at the very least I'll make you a grave.

Conrad: Ah, just a minute, your Majesty, you shouldn't bury him. If you put the kotsuhizoku parts back together, he'll be able to fly again.

Yuuri: Eh? These (pieces) are not dead? Can you can really put him together like a plastic model?
