Track 6: Encounter with the Shinou[edit]

-- In an unusual place --

Conrad: This place is.... Am I dead? No, I can't afford to die. There are still things I must do.....

Shinou: That's right, you can't afford to die yet. Ah, you don't need to force yourself to look at me. The heat and the flames will take your eyesight, the bright light is painful, right?

Conrad: You are...

Shinou: You remember me right? Even if you can't say my name. This is the second time we've exchanged words, right, Lord Weller? The soul of Susanna Julia which you carried to another world, has now been returned in the shape of a young king.

Conrad: Majesty Shinou....

Shinou: Will you be standing up? You must be really tired of having to behave like a retainer but, judging by your appearance it seems you can't stand anymore. Because your left arm has been robbed from you, you know? Alright, what shall I do now? Since the humans stole your left arm, it means that they're trying to unleash that power.

Conrad: With.... my arm.... ?

Shinou: You knew? Your arm is not a perfect key.... but it's something very similar to the key.

Conrad: I was aware of it...

Shinou: The arm they cut off you, will open the box. Then, an overwhelmingly powerful force will be released, that no one will be able to control. That's if the correct key and its owner are not nearby.

Conrad: That's what I've heard...

Shinou: Hmmm, this has gotten messy. That kid...... the new king is doing well but... dealing with this situation will be very difficult.

Conrad: Majesty Shinou....

Shinou: What is it?

Conrad: That thing I brought back with me from Earth... even though we're separated by many generations, could this body be able to handle it?

Shinou: It's not like you won't be able to use it. Since Robert traveled to the other world, his descendants over there are now humans, so no one else but you, can be the rightful owner of the key.

Conrad: Robert Berard's arm... no, I mean... the key to the box... where is it?

Shinou: It's not here. But I can send you there directly from here, the place where it is stored, connects to this place through a space-warp.

Conrad: Then could you please... show me how to get there?

Shinou: Are you serious? Once the key is in your body, as its owner, you will be targeted for the rest of your life. And that's not all, the risk will also extend to everyone around you.

Conrad: No, that won't happen.... No, I won't let it happen.

Shinou: *sighs* You have.... already made up your mind, right?

Conrad: Yes.

Shinou: Fine, then. I will open the path towards the key. But listen to this, Conrad. Don't forget it no matter what...

Conrad: Your Majesty....

Shinou: Robert said this.... the moment he fell into the bottomless lake. "There's no god". And he was right, there's no god. But I am here. I'm here, forever. Praying for the prosperity of the Mazoku, watching over you. You may go, Conrad. Get the key back, and use it for the sake of those who believe in your lord. And as a result, you will be called a traitor, and even if you're reproached, and you use up all your strength in a land that your king won't allow you to be in... That's your destiny and I will be watching what happens to you.

Conrad: Majesty, Shinou... I will remember your words...

FX: *Conrad leaves through the space-warp*

Shinou: *laughs* That's right... there's no god. But I am here. Now whether I'll be here forever or not, that's a little doubtful....

-- Before the castle of the King of Big Shimaron --

Conrad: Open up! Someone, open up!

Conrad: I want an audience with Big Shimaron's Berard the 4th... no, the 2nd.

FX: *Door opens*

Conrad: Apply for an audience? There's no need for that. After the words I'll say now, he'll certainly want to meet with me. Listen and listen well! And then, tell this to the king of this country. A man from a foreign country has this to say to him. I have the key with me.

FX: *Door closes*
