Extremely Few Taming[1] Days Needed (Essay)[edit]

I'll keep on writing about word processors now. That's right, I talked about this in the Konya MA afterword. My beloved 'Great Writer Mini 5SV'[2] (a strange object of the last century with a monochrome screen) called "Yaoi N° 2"[3], that I've been teaming up with for a long time, has been retired. However while trying to write this manuscript for the winter comiket, I noticed that I was still using the borrowed laptop I used to write 'KonyaMA'. If I kept on using that, I was not going to be able to print out my work! I can send the files for commercial magazines through e-mail using my dial up line (I still have a black dial phone), but the print shops that are registered to print doujinshis are still very few. No, actually in the first place, it would be impossible for someone like me who can't use Ichitaro[4], not even 0.3 Taro correctly, to submit the document using such a sophisticated (?) technique. In order to finish my work, I had to print it out no matter what. So I thought, well I'll just buy a printer, and started going through some fliers from Sofmap (I've finally gotten a PC shop within walking distance, then I quickly remembered Sofmap's store music) but........ due to some BAD TIMING, I had recently gotten XP on windowzu[5] (to become good friends with the computer I call it 'window' but, do people usually call their computers that?), so my inexperienced self couldn't decide which one to buy. Well, that was enough. Seeing how this situation with the word processors was going nowhere, I had no other choice but to allow my old device to make a COMEBACK. I could print out everything I wrote there right away! But when I opened my 'Great Writer Mini 5SV' after a long time, I couldn't believe the ridiculous size of the characters, and the absurd arrangement of the keys. Really, really, really !? Were you really using this up til August, TAKABAYASHI!? It was so uncomfortable to use. Wait a moment, could the settings be all messed up? Why did it become so slow...? No way, no way, no way一! I mean, what's up with you!? Weren't you the beloved machine I was married to for 10 years!? Then why can't I type properly after only a month and a half? Am I really such a heartless person!? but.... in the end, since human beings are weak-willed, even if someone swore their love to an old girlfriend, a new woman may appear and it wouldn't take long to get used to her. And that's how I became a 'progressively aware of such a grandpa-like notion Takabayashi' (Like in 'Dog of the Day'[6]). And maybe that's why for the past 2 months, every Sunday at 7 am while watching TV in the mornings I've been saying " I can't believe Raiders these days" while clicking my tongue ( originally Kino Raider's[7] goal was the kino shower, or the kino technique or the kino nightmares..... wait .... really, you must be an old man Takabayashi) ■

  3. 矢追二号 'Yaoi' is written in kanji, like a name
  4. Ichitaro is a word processor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ichitaro Ichitaro means "1 Taro", so Takabayashi-sensei says, forget about "1 Taro, I can't even use a '0.3 Taro' correctly". 0.3 is not actually a word processor, this is just a pun.
  5. Mado-> window . 'Madozu' -> 'windowzu'
  6. Dog of the day is a tv show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfGRAU6fzWI I think she's comparing getting used to loving something new to having a new pet? Maybe...
