Author's Notes

Firstly, to all readers that have purchased and read this book, I am supremely grateful.

This book 《Kokoro Connect: Nise Random》takes place after 《Kokoro Connect: Hito Random》, 《Kokoro Connect: Kizu Random》, 《Kokoro Connect: Kako Random》, 《Kokoro Connect: Michi Random》, and short-story volume 《Kokoro Connect: Clip Time》, and is my 6th work in the 《Kokoro Connect》 series.

I am Sadanatsu Anda, the kind of author that keeps nagging on that the series' official abbreviation, Kokoroco, will deeply engrave into peoples' hearts soon... Say it with me; one~ two~ Kokoroco!

Perhaps everyone has already noticed, but I always list out the titles of every book in the series in the author's notes.

Because this series' titles don't directly indicate the volume number, I've decided to include the titles here to benefit first-time readers of the series.

But doing this has also attracted criticisms: "If you think this might trouble some people, then you better start writing down the numerical order of the books!"

Ahh, so inconsiderate.

We were actually thinking about whether or not we should add the volume number to the title, really!

But, all our ideas were relentlessly turned down. This was an impassable barrier for us... that is, the so-called -- grown-up reasons.

...meh, I just wanted to try saying words as dashing as "grown-up reasons".

Say, since we touched on this topic, I will just remind everyone, even though many of you probably already know.

In a bookstore or someplace, if you see works like this one that doesn't have a sequential order, check the spine of the book. On Famitsu books, you can see here to determine which volume this is in the series.

For example, "A121-5" is listed on the spine of the book. "A12" is my author serial number, while "1-5" indicates that this is the fifth volume in my first series.

You will never get the order mixed up if you look there!

As a side note, the short story volume 《Kokoro Connect: Clip Time》 has a serial number of "A122-1". Because my naming scheme has changed, the short story volume was categorized as another series.

Well, all you have to do is to look at the work's listing!

I'm really embarrassed for troubling the bookstores (although I might not have given anybody trouble, I might as well say it anyway).

Okay, let's change the topic a little.

The second Kokoro Connect manga will be released in December 2011!

The second Kokoro Connect drama CD will be released in January 2012!

And... the anime version has been green-lit!

Saying all this without a break, how spectacular... impressive...

This is all thanks to the hard-working staff and related people as well as all you readers. I am really grateful towards you all.

Whether it's the manga, the CD, or the anime, with everyone's passionate tributes, it will definitely become an excellent work. I promise, I will exceed the expectations of every single fan out there! I will put every bit of my effort into this, so stay tuned, everyone!

Hope everyone will continue to support the 《Kokoro Connect》 series' light novels and other multimedia forms!

I don't have much pages left, so I will thank the following units and individuals. Firstly, thank you to all staff members that were involved in the publication of this book (especially to my executive editor). Despite the number of volumes I've written, my gratitude has not dissipated. Also, Shiromizakana-sensei, I don't know what words I should use to express my thanks, but nevertheless I am extremely grateful. From here on out, I will rely on you to guide and support my works.

Lastly, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to those that have supported my works since the beginning, as well as those currently reading this book.

September 2011, Sadanatsu Anda.
