Afterword[edit]

Finally, we've come to the last volume of Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi.

I'm writing this immediately after reading this last volume, so, how should I put it, I'm feeling riled up about it, but I have to maintain my cool. If you haven't read it yet, then you shouldn't get excited about it, I suppose, I guess, so, please come back here again after reading it (LOL).

Basically, I'm going to just carry on with that excitement. Yes.

So, it finally ended.

And thus, this is the kind of story it was.

I think those who have read it should understand it but, this is what 『Itsuten』 is made up of so (you should get it if you look at the title of this volume though, eh, a lot of them were written based on the name), well, it was very complicated, and I've been worrying whether I would manage to end it as planned as I was writing it, but, that's me for you. Just like the plan I mentioned in the afterword of the first volume, I managed to finish it within 10 volumes!

"...................................."

Yes, I'm sorry. It became 13 volumes. I didn't manage to finish within the planned number of volumes at all. I lied.

But with this, 『Itsuten』 is finished.

How were Taito, Gekkou, Mirai, Himea, and the rest of the student council? Did it feel fun, or was it great that you've read until this volume, or did it still feel sad; if those are your feelings, I'm really overjoyed to tears. At the very least, for me, after finishing it, I felt like I was in a daze, and a little sad that I'll be leaving Taito, Himea, Gekkou, Mirai and the rest.

Since the first volume was released, it has been five years and one month. Five years is really a long time in a lifetime huh. In the meantime, I got older by five years! It's obvious right.

And with those years, bringing you this very last volume, being able to spend these years with those who love 『Itsuten』, I really feel blessed.

Especially when I was finishing up with writing this last volume, those feelings became even stronger. I cried quite a lot while reading it, looking at the hard work of the student council members, it was really great that I wrote this work, I won't have any regrets when I look back at those days of writing this, that's what I'm feeling right now as I'm writing this.

I mean well, there's the question of whether is it okay for a writer to be writing the afterword of the last volume with such feelings (LOL), but, if this is how everyone is feeling about this series, then I can't feel any more blessed. More importantly, if this is a work which one reluctantly welcomes the end, it's really a blessing to the work itself. And all that is thanks to all of you who are supporting it!!

Really, thank you very much for telling me about how much you love 『Itsuten』!

Well then, after one work ends, another one starts!

Please take a look at my new work 『Apocalypse Alice』! Though it's similar to the afterword in 『Denyuuden』, my comments and the art are a little different.

Apocalypse Alice

The world has been shattered.

As a result of the most dreadful of diseases that afflicts only girls --- the 《Labyrinth Disease》.

That's why our lessons started.

Lessons for the purpose of killing the girl.

The time limit is 6 hours.

We'll kill the girl and save the world.

Whizzing magic and surging youth.

A school fantasy in labyrinth raiding begins!

The 「Magic Sword Switch」 employed by Shinnosuke, is a peerlessly powerful magic that only he can handle!!

Believes only in money and himself. The rest don't matter. Things like saving the world is honestly suffocating.

Arisu Shinnosuke

From Kagami Takaya:

I think he has a bigger ego than the brocon Gekkou.

A dark hero like him who only believes in himself, carrying loneliness, he fights the world and spouts nothing but complaints (LOL), but, it'd be nice if he gets loved by all of you.

File:Itsuten v13 307.jpg
「Sea Moon Wheel Switch」, whereby water takes the shape of a rounded moon and is used to slice enemies apart, is Gunjou's specialty technique.

I will! We will be the ones! To clear this labyrinth and become the saviors!

Mizuiro Gunjou

From Kagami Takaya:

A super elite female high school student magician.

A number of corporate sponsors are backing her and have great expectations of her.

She's a strong-willed, yet faint-hearted girl.

Even though she has golden hair like Mirai, she's pretty different from Mirai except in her first-person address.

A girl who dives into labyrinths while carrying the weight of her comrades' lives, and bearing a strong sense of responsibility, she and Shinnosuke who only believes in himself are like oil and water.

What's the power hidden in Kiri's beloved sword whose origin is a mystery......!?

Ah-ha, I'll kill you if you get ahead of yourself, Mr. Aloof Bastard.

Kiryuu Kiri

From Kagami Takaya:

A very cheerful, popular girl --- if only I could introduce her in that manner, but, a girl like that can't exist in this school.

Since she's one of the two main heroines, those who read the book are divided into either Gunjou-faction or Kiri-faction.

She uses magic that conjures swords that have the air of Japanese swords.

Besides a large sword, he even has such a weapon!? Shiro's magic is rather unique!!

I'll get hold of everything without a single sacrifice. Make sure you guys come back alive!

Hishiro Shiro

From Kagami Takaya:

No matter how you look at it, be it looks or the lines, this guy is more like the protagonist (LOL).

In this world where one is restricted to one's magic slot selections, this is a strange fellow who fills all his slots with specialized offensive magic.

If Gunjou is the queen of the class, he is the hero.

The both of them are at loggerheads with each other.

Scratch that, he's at loggerheads with everyone! (LOL)

The World's Strongest Labyrinth Raiding Fantasy

--- Now, let's kill the girl and save the world!

The world has been shattered. As a result of the most dreadful of diseases that afflicts only girls --- the 《Labyrinth Disease》. That's why the students are taking lessons. Lessons for the purpose of killing the girl. Learning magic, figuring out the map of the labyrinth, forming teams, and studying the weakness of the girl...... The time limit is 6 hours. If the girl isn't killed within that time, then the world gets destroyed.

"I have no interest in the world at all so please spare me. Frankly, it's really suffocating." Together with the one who said these words, the most horrible protagonist in history, enter the world of whizzing magic and surging youth.

A school fantasy in labyrinth raiding, begins here!

On Sale Now and Well-Received!!

And thus, 『Itsuten』 has ended, and a new wok begins.

If you ask me, I would say that this is something I made to be closer to 『Denyuuden』 in my mind, but, probably because I wrote it in the period that was rather close to when I was writing this last volume of 『Itsuten』, it became something closer to the feel of that, I think.

Also, this is a secret but (those who have read it might have already noticed it though), I secretly hid the the words Miya-Saka inside 『Apocalypse Alice』, so please try to find it! (LOL)

So, we are done with the announcement ---

This really is the end.

Everyone, thank you for supporting me all this while. It's all thanks to everyone who continued to read on, that Taito and Gekkou and the rest were able to fight till the end. Really really, it's all thanks to all of you.

So, I thank you from my heart.

Thank you! I'm grateful. I love all of you! And thus, please continue to support Kagami Takaya!

And while we're at that ~, as usual, let's get on to the ongoing serializations.

January: 『Seraph of the End 4』 will be on sale (a comic that's serialized in Jump SQ).

February: 『Seraph of the End 3 - Ichinose Glen's 16-year old Catastrophe』 (Kodansha Bunko).

March: 『Apocalypse Alice 2』 (I'll write it now!).

April: 『The Legend of the Great Legendary Heroes 15』's release... what to make of it?

That's the stream of releases I heard. My, won't this kill me!

Taito: "I will die like 6 times though."

Well, it might be okay for you! While saying stupid stuff like that, please continue to support me!

First, please try reading 『Apocalypse Alice』!

And thus.

This time, it's really really the end. This is the first time I;m feeling this with the last volume of a series. Since I really love 『Itsuten』, I'm feeling a tightening in my chest, and alas, this is the end.

However, even though it's the final volume, it'd be a little sad to say goodbye, so I'll do the usual.

Everyone, let's meet again!

See you next month!
