Characters[edit]

Most of these names are taken from the Japanese Accel World Wiki.

And the Chinese Accel World Wiki.

Note that inside speeches, the name use varies by person. Since the Point of View (POV) is normally Haruyuki, we follow the way the author writes the names for him. For example: Haruyuki, Kuroyukihime, Chiyuri, Takumu, Niko(later ones) for none speech places.

Example of inside speech name calling for Haruyuki: Kuroyukihime -> Senpai(usually), Chiyuri -> Chiyu, Takumu -> Taku.

Neuro Linker ニューロリンカー 神經連結裝置 Collar like personal computer that communicates wirelessly with the user's brain, has Virtual Reality(VR) and Augmented Reality(AR) functions.
Wired Direct Connect Communication (Direct Connect) 有線直結通信（直結） 有綫直連 Process of directly connecting two or more Neuro Linkers through a XSB cable. Disables 90% of a Neuro Linker's security walls against outside interference, and removes time-lag for thought-speech between people. (Called Direct Connect for short.)
Brain Burst ブレイン・バースト A secret game program for the Neuro Linker that allow people with it installed to accelerate their consciousness.
Burst Linker バーストリンカー 超頻連線者 People with Brain Burst successfully installed and has remaining Burst Points.
Burst Point バーストポイント 超頻點數 Points required to use the Brain Burst commands and various related things. Zero Point = force program uninstall.
Parent 親 上輩 The person who gives Brain Burst to someone else for installation. Can only have one Child.
Child 子 下輩 The person who receives Brain Burst from someone.
Duel 対戦 對戰 Fights from between two people to whole groups.
Duel Avatar デュエルアバター 對戰虛擬角色 A Burst Linker's alter ego for use in fights to earn Burst Points.
Legion レギオン 軍團 A group of Burst Linkers. Large ones have their own territory, which let the controlling Legion members refuse duels.
Special Technique 必殺技 必殺技 System-assigned attacks or moves that are unique to each avatar. Activating one causes the special technique gauge to be depleted by a certain amount.
Enhanced Armament 強化外装 强化外裝 A special equipment that gives an avatar enhanced stats or certain special abilities, including special techniques. The only ways to obtain one are: having it as a duel avatar's beginner equipment, earning it through level-up bonuses, using Burst Points to buy one at a "Shop", obtaining it from another player through a Direct Connect cable transfer, or defeating another player and being awarded their Enhanced Armament after the battle (though the probability is low).
Unlimited Neutral Field 無制限中立フィールド 無限制中立空間 An expansive duel field that covers the entirety of Japan through the Social Camera network. Can only be entered by Level 4 or above Burst Linkers, and costs 10 Burst Points to enter. There is no time limit to the duration spent within this field unlike the normal duel field. It is inhabited by system-created monsters known as "Enemy", which can give Burst Linkers additional Burst Points if defeated. The Stage attributes change regularly according to a randomized pattern.
Incarnate System (Mind Power) 心意（インカーネイト）システム 心念系统 Using image to control avatar and events. Currently using just Mind Power for 心意.

Burst Out バースト・アウト 超頻登出 Command to voluntarily stop Burst Link. Should not work in on going duels.
Unlimited Burst アンリミテッド・バースト 無限超頻 10 BP unlimited 1000X, unlimited Level 4 or above, puts user directly in the Unlimited Neutral Field.
Physical Burst フィジカル・バースト 物理加速 5 BP 3 seconds 10X, 30 seconds Acceleration with consciousness remaining in physical body.
Physical Full Burst フィジカル・フル・バースト 物理完全加速 99% BP ? 100X, ? Level 9 or above, Full physical body acceleration.
Incarnate System Terms

Mind Power 心意 心念 General term for anything involved with the Incarnate System.
Incarnate Technique 心意技 心念技 Any technique that utilizes Mind Power. Unlike special techniques, they do not deplete the special technique gauge and they glow continuously. An incarnate technique can only be stopped by another incarnate technique.
Over-Ray 過剰光（オーバーレイ） 過剩光 The phenomenon of continuously emitting light when an avatar activates an incarnate technique.
Attack Range Expansion 射程距離拡張 射程增長 One of the four basic types of incarnate techniques. Increases the range of an attack.
Movement Ability Expansion 移動能力拡張 移動能力提升 One of the four basic types of incarnate techniques. Increases an avatar's speed and agility.
Attack Power Expansion 攻撃威力拡張 攻擊力加大 One of the four basic types of incarnate techniques. Increases the offensive power of an avatar's body.
Armor Density Expansion 装甲強度拡張 裝甲强度增加 One of the four basic types of incarnate techniques. Increases the defensive power of an avatar's body.
Zero File 零化現象（ゼロフィル） 零化現象 Also known as "Minus Mind Power", the phenomenon where a duel avatar loses all ability to move when the Burst Linker loses their fighting spirit and the power signal sent from their soul to the avatar becomes "zero". Called "Zero-fication" （零化） for short.
