In some website, Cattleya's full name is listed as Cattleya Yvette La Baume Le Blanc de La Fontaine. Could anybody explain to me why is that? --212.219.156.23 22:46, 3 May 2012 (CDT)

I fixed most of the typos. If you could point out any significant amount of spelling issues I'll be glad to fix the typos. --Acolyte (talk) 13:05, 10 August 2012 (CDT)

Much thanks to whomever uploaded the illustrations on BT!! XD I hope you guys translate this one day. From looking at the name of the chapters and pictures, this somehow remind me of The Three Musketeers. --92.239.153.44 19:58, 17 July 2012 (CDT)

Just to be sure, is this the story about Louise's mother when she was young or a spin-off? 00:17, 17 December 2012 (CET +2)

It's the story of Louise's mother when she was young!

烈風の騎士姫 could be better translated as 'Knight Princess of Violent Winds' or something.

just noticed that a 3rd chapter was added for the 17th volume, wondering if there is anyone actively translating the remaining chapters in volume 16 :S

I would like to move on to edit the first two chapters of volume 17 as it asks for but I don't want to ruin the flow of the story either >.< spoilers are little fun I'm sure you agree :)

If it's okay, I'd like to start editing on vol 17. Is it alright?

The more the better. just waiting for 2nd half of saigo's promotion to be translated before i begin looking at how to edit it (dont want it to sound completely out of place) just a few more active translators and we could probably finish up all the ZnT volumes by febuary

Noboru Yamaguchi (author) died
Noboru Yamaguchi, the 41-year-old author of the Zero no Tsukaima light novel series, has died after a long struggle with cancer.

http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2013/04/11/zero-no-tsukaima-author-noboru-yamaguchi-dies/

So this means that the series wont ever be finished, am I correct?

:From what I know, volume 21 was at an unknown point of completion (probably mostly completed) at some point in mid-2011, but the publishing was postponed "a couple of months" (still unpublished) in order to him to undergou surgery. He also said on that same announcement that the plot of volumes 21 and 22 (the end) was totally decided on (meaning the publishers have the whole plot). Does anyone know if he has employed this last 2 years to flesh out enough of it for both volumes (or at least 21) to be published? --Kemm (talk) 14:38, 11 April 2013 (CDT)

Couldn't you keep a note in the ZnT page regarding the passing of the author? I believe it would be nice, as a way to remember him... Jonythunder (talk) 20:05, 14 July 2013 (CDT)

Continuing translation
I understand that sadly Yamaguchi sensei passed away earlier this year and that ZnT will be left incomplete. However, I am wondering if the translation project is still underway.

If you are in need of translators I am happy to pick up wherever people have left off. I have completed 3 years of Japanese language study with 2 of them as a major at university.

I am able to translate from Japanese into English if I am provided with scans of the novels.

So I notice that there seems to be a bit of a disagreement between the project Supervisor and some of the translators over how the project page for ZeroTsuka should look like... Can't we just talk things out and get along?

Well, I just uploaded some images and followed the standards in other LNs. As it turns out our supervisor doesn't like it though. I think the images doesn't quite fit in the baka-tsuki app but I don't know I haven't downloaded it yet. Anyways, I hope he reconsiders it cause it looks cool like in the other LNs. == Louise ==

It seems like Louise's name is based on a historic character, Louise Françoise de La Baume Le Blanc, Duchess de La Valliere et de Vaujours. You learn something new everyday. It seems that she was a maid of noble blood of Princess Henrietta Anne of England and became Louis XIV's lover as a way to quell the rumors of him having an affair with said Henrietta, who was his sister-in-law. Also, her first child, who died at 1 year of age, had been sent to Minister of Finances Jean-Baptiste Colbert's two faithful servants to be brought up. That's a lot of familiar names.--Kemm (talk)

Volume 11 MTL tagging
With regards to volume 11, translated by Darknemo2000, chapters 1-7 included a Preview template, and thus had their templates changed to MTL-old. However in looking into why chapter 8+ did not have Preview, I came across this post which indicates that all of volume 11 may not be MTL, unlike previous chapters from Darknemo2000. Thus, I didn't rename the pages (I like to limit unnecessary wiki actions), despite leaving the template. Ideally, if a currently translator wanted to examine those chapters and confirm they are not MTL quality, then the MTL template could be removed (or if Darknemo2000 confirms they are not MTL, but he hasn't been around in a few years, so I assume that won't work). --Cthaeh (talk) 04:25, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Volume 19, 20 and 21
i'm sorry for being impatient, but when will they be translated? I just wanna know of there is an active translator busy IRL or that no one is translating. Already thank you for the one that answer

For the record, there is at least one active translator working on the project; I am currently working on Vol.19Ch.1, though I've been incredibly behind and haven't had much help. It's been really slow going, but some progress has been made; though I can't give an estimated date to when the first chapter will be released. Soon, here's hoping..! --JirinTheNobody

Thanks, that's all I wanna know. Do you have a blog where you post translations? Just curious, anyway thanks.

I'm glad to see that vol19 has at least a trace of pulse left in it, I can't remember where I left off previously except it was roughly vol16+. Now I may have a chance to read the story to completion a few years after first starting. I would have offered to help but I can't yet read or speak a trace of Japanese yet, despite meaning to learn some occasionally v.v Maybe I could help with grammar and sentence structure issues later on as part of an edit. --Sanngrior

20 and 21 on the way, by Shadowys and probably edited by me. V20 Ch.1-5 and V21 Ch.1 are edited.

Volume 14 Chapter 1
As a translator and fan of the series, I have felt compelled to begin a major overhaul of the translation of Volume 14 chapter 1. This is due to both a lack of quality and extreme inaccuracies (for example, the current translation mentions King Joseph 6 times in the early parts of the chapter. Meanwhile, his name doesn't appear once in the corresponding part of the Japanese text). If anyone has any objections let me know. :So to follow up, my retranslation has been uploaded. I didn't do much editing so it might need some enhancements. In any case it should be more accurate and legible than before. --JeruTz (talk) 23:41, 5 July 2017 (CEST)
