Bakemonogatari, or Bake Monogatari by NisiOisiN
Since there is now an anime, I am sure a lot of people are going to want to read the novel itself, for various reasons (censored scenes, impatience, more details, etc.). Also, there is a prequel that was merely summarized in 30 seconds in the anime, kizumonogatari, and I believe there is one, possibly two sequel novels, although I can't remember what they are called.
If this topic has already been brought up, please ignore this, I just wasn;t sure if it had or net yet. Thank you.

even though this is a very confusing series...and quite mature in its own respect it is really awesome. the dialouge is probably the main reason as the rest is a play on words and mispronounciation of them as well the anime is pretty good but really toned down

Apparently it isn't a teaser, it has been authorised by Velocity7, so it'll be flagged as a UAP until the required pages have been completed.

Good news, you bakemono lovers, We have all the necessary pages created, however I have to say the supplied chapter, is surprisingly short.

Will have to confer with Velocity7 if it is completed or not, so far the conclusion is that if it is complete then it will not satisfy our one complete chapter requirement.

In Kizumonogatari there are 18 chapters and some of them are really short.

Thanks for the verification Vaelis, in that case when the 2nd chapter is published then I will not have any objection to it.

It might seem unusual that a Supervisor's own project has to be a focus of my attention, but the fact is that besides the publishing of "Haruhi" by the Big Boss himself no other Supervisor has published one personally before.

So it is in our best interest that I keep an eye on it, just to nip in the bud of questions of "who watches the Watchmen?" variety.

The only one who can publish indiscriminately on the wiki without check is the Big Boss himself, he who holds the life line of Baka-Tsuki in his very hands!

The show is fantastic but I hear they cut practically everything out of the books... I don't get how it still works...

Part 002 is 6 times longer than Part 001

Ahh, It would be....if there was a part 002 listed, now that you mention it. However considerings this is the kizumonogatari, which is the prelude of Bakemonogatari story. i.e. describing koyomi vampire-fication.

if you assume that the first chapter is a introduction/Prelude/Preview of the volume, It is safe to predict that the second chapter will consist of the main bulk of the story.

But it's nothing that I can predict with any certainty, as I do not have any of the source material, however it would be slightly insulting to think that this important aspect of the main male character development would stop at such a short chapter.

Ah, that is, if Velocity7 decides to stick to this volume.....knowing him he might just pick another chapter from another volume just to meet the minimum standard.......

Pray to haruhi he won't be so evil....

Been waiting see if is this would be translated on baka-tsuki! I love, love, love the anime, so I really want to read the novels.

...well i hope it does....if only kinny the speed demon would have a go on this novel, i'm sure it;ll be just as big as Haruhi!

Very interesting dialogue have been cut from the anime, that really defines the characters of this fantastic universe.

we just need to boost the profile and grab some interested translator!
