Speaking of delays, I'm am just hating the olympics for ruining my watching of E7:AO. Sure it was confusing a little but I won't be able to know anything if there are no new episodes.

Welcome to the Japanese otaku's world, except for the fact that they have to content with the baseball season as well. *Goes into anti-Olympics rant (see part of it over "Random Internet Finds)*

Re: Anime Summer 2012
Well, this season has turned into quite the bust for me.
I'm keeping up with E7 Ao just because I like the franchise and want to see how this ends.
Kokoro Connect's characters I like (mostly Yui) along with the way it's written.
Horizon (pt. 2) is just as "What is this?!?"-esque as the first one. Can't say I'm fully into it or out of it, just want to see where it goes.
...and that's it for this season. I dropped Accel World due to not wanting to catch up with it. (After my 2 month absence.) Instead I caught up on E7:Ao. I'm also a little skeptic on trying some of the grey matter shows, since around the time this season ends, I'll be back in school and don't want to feel flooded by trying to keep up with so many shows. (Was doing 7 last season, and it was just a pain in the ass.)
This season has left me with the "Guess I'll just rewatch MariMite, Strawberry Panic, and Shoujo Sect until it's over." taste in my mouth.

Honestly, I'm beginning to feel that Accel World's story will actually develop into something greater than SAO. Those readers of both series who kept telling me that will be glad to know I'm beginning to be swayed, judging from the summaries and spoilers and reading the afterwords of the volumes.hobogunner wrote:Well, this season has turned into quite the bust for me.

But regardless, I URGE YOU TO WATCH BINBOUGAMI!
Unless you
1) Don't like HanaKana.
2) Don't like hilarious humor with references.
3) Don't like meaningful themes embedded in the humor.
It has to be a really great show to make me buy all the manga!

The three shows that I can just rewatch and not get tired of. (I could add a few, but I've been in the mood for those shows...)YoakeNoHikari wrote:What?hobogunner wrote: MariMite, Strawberry Panic, and Shoujo Sect

Re: Anime Summer 2012
They are different type of novels to begin in, IMO. SAO looks like a fantastic view of our world, while AW is more a whole new world to me. Fights scenes are different and SAO is already doomed to finish after 2-3 years, while AW can develop much more.larethian wrote: Honestly, I'm beginning to feel that Accel World's story will actually develop into something greater than SAO. BokuH is painful to watch now.
Ah. And Hikari still has the habit of appearing out of nowhere.

For AW, the author has hinted that it's going to be a possibly long series going over 20 volumes, and this is just the beginning (v10,11) in not so many words.Kira0802 wrote:They are different type of novels to begin in, IMO. Re: Anime Summer 2012
Quite the opposite to most people- This might actually be my best Summer season so far... Though I'm only comparing it up to 2009, since I've lost the record from anything before that.
Sword Art Online, Kokoro Connect, Horizon, and Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate were the four shows that I've bet big before the start of the season and I'm happy to say they've lived up to my expectations. I guess it's fortunate that I don't follow SAO in detail so I'm not as anal about any changes in the adaptation.
Muv-Luv and Nobuna were the two shows that I didn't intent to pick up, but after a much lack luster Monday morning, I've decided to do both of them out of curiosity and boy did both of them exceeded my expectations. Nobuna in particular is probably the few Adaptation that I think is superior to the original source.
Then there's Campione and Dog Days- The latter I have no illusions about what kind of show it is and frankly I have no idea how I've lasted this long, I've only begun to experience 'entertainment' of the sort that I'm looking for in the last 2 episodes... Similarly Campione has been a on and off experience back I think it's starting to stabilize itself- I did read the original novel but wasn't too big on it so I'm more open minded of any changes.
Then there's Hyouka and Eureka7 from last season carried over, bringing the total number of shows to 11... Well originally it was 13 with Arcana and AW, but I question whether or not I'll ever be motivated to hit the play button on either of them.

Not surprising for Mazui, pretty much only one that's doing it, but why not Commie for Hagure?
