Just curious, but has there been any new news on who's translating? I've looked at the change logs, but there's not a whole lot I can gleem from them. >.>;
Anyway...long live Horizon! =D

If I'm not wrong, the project will be moved to NanoDesu. I don't know the details, though.

In reply to the recruitment of editors, I am willing to help editing for the series.
My English is considerably good, and I'm looking for experience.
I Have a fair amount of free time so I am willing to help edit whenever needed.
Cheers, :)

Seems like the project will be fully moved to NanoDesu, so you should try your chance there.

I realize that Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon is relatively niche. Even so, there's a certain amount of fan interest in the story. A total of five translators have worked on it in the past. And in just the last few posts of this thread, someone volunteered to help edit. And perhaps there'd be even more interest, if only a single volume or a single arc had ever been translated. I'm one of those rare (or so I feel) people who hasn't watched the anime adaptation. I hope that a translation will come out one day, so I can appreciate the details I expect I'd find cut from the adaptation. I look forward to it because I see potential in the few chapters I've read, and because I've read a lot of praise of it from certain people whose tastes are similar to mine.

I have periodically checked on the translation for a while now. Since winter 2011-2012, to be specific. I didn't look at this thread--just the wiki page itself. And since I follow NanoDesu for OreImo, I noticed the news that Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon would be translated by a NanoDesu affiliate who was formerly the Baka-Tsuki translator. I was happy to find that out, and also happy to hear that translated chapters would be edited to improve their quality, since I found many of them hard to read the first time around. Anyway, at the time, my impression was that the NanoDesu-affiliated translation was completely separate from Baka-Tsuki.

A few months ago, I noticed a lack of progress with that translation (as often happens when translators become busy with real-life priorities). The translator posted about it, but there was no explanation or attempt to reschedule, just a brief statement of apathy (which isn't uncommon for translators to make, especially if they're sensitive to the fact that they shouldn't have to defend their lack of productivity). A few months later (today), I checked again and found there were still no updates of any kind. I went to the Baka-Tsuki page to see if any other translators had appeared. I wasn't surprised to see that no progress had been made, since this is such a difficult series to translate and the hype has faded a bit since season 2 aired in late 2012, but when I took a closer look, I was surprised to see what I would consider potentially the reason for that lack of progress...

To sum up my understanding: the translator who left Baka-Tsuki for an independent blog has claimed the rest of the first volume on Baka-Tsuki. That translator is also listed as the project supervisor. People in this thread point others to that blog as the place to find translations for this series. Yet, as I said, that translator hasn't made any updates for nearly 6 months, the only message/explanation being extremely noncommittal. Incidentally, that translator doesn't appear active on the Baka-Tsuki forums either, but I can't tell for sure. What I want to ask (of the Baka-Tsuki staff, or anyone who can answer) is: in this situation, is there any way I can ever expect to see Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon translated? Even if you think that the other translation will finish so there's no point to bringing up this issue, considering that the other translation isn't actually being done on Baka-Tsuki, is there a problem with leveraging Baka-Tsuki's popularity by perhaps having an active supervisor who makes it clear that a project could use translators and lets them register for the chapters people would be most interested in seeing translated?

Omg thank you so much for picking this one up again! I really liked the anime but I heard the novels are much more detailed, so thank you for the effort.
