This used to be fun on the train when I had nothing to do, but now I feel this discussion has officially gone full circle and died. let's seriously put this down in a way that's acceptable to everybody.
  • +I'll register an account because it'll make everybody's day.

+Teh_Ping, send me an email at y@vermiliongrey and I'll provide you with all the proof you need (I need your email to share gDocs, so a PM won't work).

+Agree to disagree on which reading environment is better, but agreeing that giving users an option can only be a good thing.

ahh fa, and since I can't help it. ZZHK, my original objection was to Akuma and Dung going ape over me trying to improves the page and removing it for the sake of removing it. Plus my edits were hardly anonymous since it it obvious who made the edits when they are putting their name in the translator's section.

I'm not bothing to make an account because even if I could edit, if there is something apparently objectionable with the edits I want to make, then what's the point? I'm arguing about how valid my edits which at this point, which I'm just going to agree to disagree at this point since we've clearly not gotten anywhere.

Nobody checks the translator column. Everyone only looks at the 'recent changes'...

Yeah, but if you're going to flip out, you would be expected to do a little research first.

PS: It seems like my eloquence does not match a Mod's edit button either.

Let's put it this way...BT doesn't show the IP of a registered user. Nobody will link an IP to a certain user because there is no way to show the link on the wiki or anywhere here in particular.

Seems like a long time since the update. Any particular reason why?

I'm starting to find the anime distasteful. I mean it's still good, but they've taken out quite a bit of the playfulness that the manga brought out, unless, the manga added that itself. I have no idea.

I'm sure translations of the series are a bit rough. It's an medieval world with modern concepts and technology, telling a story like that must be hard to get through, even in japanese. I can only imagine how difficult it is to get those kinds of concepts and Japanese perspective through to the english language.

There are several manga adaptions (spin-off/4-komas etc), I think they are picking one that is "official" (don't quote me I only vaguely remember this from somewhere).
On that point, it follows that one to the letter, the story and and even the art is similar.

But yes I know what you are talking about, I do find the more "cartoonish" and "moe" manga adaption of Maoyuu maou Yuusha is better

There are people doing the translation, but seeing that there are only 2 and they have other pressing matters to attend to, it's really crawling right now. .

P.S. mind if I advertise the site on FB? maybe some people who are enjoying the products of the people who work hard might find it entertaining to experience doing the same job? my opinion if you guys want to add some muscle and speed to the pace of all projects here. .
P.S. Feel free to PM me anything you want, oh, be as random as possible

I feel that the cartoonish art style allows the characters to embody their personalities more, which is good in a series where "what"(hero, demon lord) they are is as important as "who"(cheerful, curious, sharp) they are. I do like how the anime did Magician girl and her multiple personalities, though. She really needed more screen time. Quite frankly, I'd be happy if translation paused just so we can skip over to her parts and figure out why she has multiple personalites(or if that's even canon). It also seems the phrase "half-assed nightmare" is more than a nickname...

Just noticed that Maoyuu is being translated. It's weird how seeing the same story in 3 different media has not made it boring in any way for me. It's interesting to see how the perspectives play out in text, as a lot of the humour and subtlety need to adapt to the medium.

What's this about drama and vandalising?
