the all-over-the-world IPs mean nothing in today's world. it could be from a botnet or a single person is posting behind applications like tor (the onion routing). I myself use tor a lot to stealth my original IP, especially to visit websites with regional blocking, mainly Japanese and some US websites.

Am I seeing things, or is something randomly creating user accounts on the main wiki now? In an of themselves, they appear to be harmless, and nothing is being done with them, but seeing new user accounts being created every few hours and then nothing happen with them . . . seems strange. 変なことだね？

He's the only one with the tools. The main concern here is that if somebody is able to create user IDs robotically, they could use those IDs to spam us . . . again.
