It is going to be animated. I like the setting of the story, but translating it is another case. 8)

I've bought the books, and the manga volumes, but though the LN story might be acceptable to my point of view (as far as I've translated it), the manga is quite another matter: they've made into some sort of lolicon story. I shudder to think what they will do to the anime.

I have the manga volumes, and looked through the first one, but the second I simply put in my basement pile.

Well... the anime industry works differently...

Really? I would have thought that its more likely that they follow the manga version...

That has been my impression too, though it doesn't always happen in that order. In the case of my main project, Golden Time, the anime is definitely following the manga... at least in the one piece of artwork we've seen so far. In the case of Toradora, the manga came after the anime, and has its own style, different from both the books and the anime.

In my opinion, the anime adapts the LN or manga based on which of them had a better reception by the general audience and the sales.
Also, sometimes they decide to change things a lot as certain things are not suited for anime or have to be added to make the anime more interesting for the target demographic , in which case we see original content / fillers and the like.

Well, since this teaser is rather pathetic, I'll translate it before my other ones.

If by pathetic, you mean short, cutting off before the plot really starts off, then you're right. This book has not been on my priority list, as can be seen plainly in how little of it is done...

Beyond that, I am not a native speaker of Japanese, nor ever had the occasion to use the language apart from here and some scanlation . . . and I have some scruples as to how I translate certain expressions. All of which works against me on a book like this is apparently turning out to be. My interest was piqued by the geek aspect of the story, but then turned off by where the manga took things.

Good luck, and I hope you do a better job than I.

At least someone got my point.

If you are interested, I have my working document, which has two more pages of transcription done without translation...

I guess...

Yeah, I accept. I'm working on it already.

As of what my raw says, the name of the first volume should be "Get started within two weeks, understood?"

Or am I wrong?

Also, I think I will need some editors... the raw I have here is rather confusing. The perspectives seem to keep changing.
