I know that Hidan no Aria has a manga spin-off called Hidan no Aria AA, but, is it manga only or a true novel spin-off (like Tabitha no Bouken and Kaze no Kishihime for Zero no Tsukaima)?

Manga-only, if I'm not wrong. I don't read HnA, but I never heard of a spin-off novel.
It's quite common to find manga spin-offs which are adaptations of LN. For the better... or the worse.

Remind me of Railgun manga for Index series it runs concurrent with the novels, even having minor tie ins yet Kinji will not make an open appearance probably. also, the group translating it disbanded so it's stuck at 5 chapters.

Kinji already made an open appearance in it.

As have Jeanne, Riko, Shirayuki and Reki.

The comic surpsigingly comes slower than the novels, the comic is great though; I'm following AA too.

The English translations only cover volume one unfortunately. There's already a couple volumes out in RAWs.

I gave them a glance, just to see what the story is about. Seems very funny :D , i hope someone will translate chapter 6 in English someday, also because....
Spoiler! :
i see it is a parallel story with the novel, so it would be beautiful to read them together.
Thank you for your answer, stromberg.

Haha, yes. I loved Railgun too.

I was thinking of adding Hidan no Aria AA to the scanlators list-to-scanlate since I know some of them, but I just simply didn't have time.

Yippie, I bought the first four volumes so I was thinking about translating them.

I don't know if this is allowed, but I'm going to try hosting them on BT.

It would be awesome! :D I am so puzzled in what the volume 2 is like, hope you can host them! Is it translating mangas much different from novels?

It's very similar, just that you may need more helpers.

I'll do chapter 6 after school.
