Regarding the third line: 内申 probably stands for 内申書/調査書, which would be the student's record / report card, in which he got positive feedback.

yes the XX is to avoid copyright issues. so it is mainly used as censors or "Beeeep". it is "エースコック スーパーカップ" Acecook supercup so just Ace*Beep*ok super*beep*up

確かにどこからどう見てもヤンキーと呼ばれる種類の伊田と、剣道一筋、良く言えば真面目、悪く言えば根暗に見える武とでは、一緒にいると妙に思われるかもしれない。

How would you interpret this sentence? What's throwing me off is 悪く言えば根暗. I don't know how to incorporate it into the translation. I have the rest though.
