So clan is singular, then I think could change "clan was summoned."

Could also take out the himself.

Could do it the present tense or some form of the present tense, since the fuuga clan is still there doing things, so technically they are still summoned.

oh geez, maybe there should tenses for dummies or tenses tutorial...
