I did Volume 9 Prologue and Chapter 2.

Chapter 1 falls under the jurdistriction of Bakafish. I just felt my ego deflate a bit.

can someone translate what is on that poster? especially the strings of words on the bottom right corner. wanted to know their justification for the delay.

I have it on good authority (akiha-san) that this poster is talking about a comic, not the novel. The publishing date of Volume 10 of the novel is yet unknown.

Unfortunately, Higurashi has such a wealth of material that you can't just verb one of the character names as a substitute for "do something bad to" and expect it to be anything but vague. ^_^

hmm probably everything combined, like what HolyCow suggested.

While all of the above could apply for Shion, her most memorable moment would probably be the one where she ripped off her own fingernails, and hence the term I coined, 'Shioned'.

E/G: If JumpyShoes made a bad remark against Rena or Psycho-lolis in general, I would have him Shioned.

Works for me. Although I was kinda leaning toward the "USO DA!"

I prefer USO DA!! on Rena though :3

"USO DA!" is a shared option, of course. It goes right between "B. Hack them up with a cleaver" and "D. Bash their head in with a baseball bat" on Rena's list. That last one is on the K1 list, as well, for obvious reasons, but I think "USO DA!" is on everybody's list... ^_^

Scenario: Someone mentions Oyashiro-sama
Current Character: Rena

Options:
A- Feign Ignorance
B- Immediately go berserk and cleave him with a cleaver
C- Yell USO DA!! and go berserk, scary eyes and all.
D- Beat him up with a baseball bat, along with all windows nearby.
E- Intimidate him with "Oyashiro-sama's curse, kana, kana?"
F- Go into cutesy mode and say "Auu~~ Oyashiro-sama is sooooo cute!!!"
G- Return home and prepare a time bomb to blow him top bits
H- Hold an entire school hostage to investigate his claims
I- Give him a needle-flavoured Onigiri
