Finally, I've noticed how "out of place" this is.

so for the sake of the greater good, time to look for an English version.

If anyone has suggestion, please do so here.

It has to convey the meaning of the wonderful word that is:

Gaijin-san!

Of course the new English word must also be able to be in such manners as:

"Gaijin Smash!"

"Gaijin Tepathy!"

"Gaijin Worthlessness"

etc etc etc.

I swear this has nothing to do with Gaijinsmash.net

nope..none at all.....

:p

in all seriousness, lets have some suggestions, if we lucky, we might find something good, if not..well.....your a Baka-Gaijin (welcome to the club!)
:p

EDIT: Polls Added!

Gaijin queer!

Didn't it strike you weird using a term to denote big, hairy, white males for outside projects... which were being translated from Japanese?

I suggest:
Baka-CPR
Baka-aid program
The Baka touch
Rocky Mountain Oyster sauce
Touch yourself to these~
Extra work for translators
We'll never finish Haruhi nv. 7, so read these never-to-be-finished projects as well!

I still say "Hosted Projects" is succinct, descriptive and meaningful - something that can't be said for any of the other suggestions.

I originally wanted "Adopted Projects" but, after Oni explained it to me, "Hosted" fits better.

The fact that it had to be explained at all should be warning enough though. God forbid we should make the site more accessible for visitors, though... :P

Tsk, you cowardly Caucasians. Always hiding behind the veil of sarcasm and "intended" irony and jokes when you mess up. Admit your failings! Admit it! Arrrrrr!

By the way, thanks for the Gaijinsmash link. Really fun read. =) It was like reading Maddox except with a fat dude replacing the swarthy pirate.

A few years ago there was a show on BBC3 called "Adam and Joe Go Tokyo" where comedians Adam and Joe went to... err... Tokyo.

One of regular segments on the show featured Adam and Joe trying to become "big in Japan". In one episode they started there own little band called "Gaijin Invasion" (with "Invasion" pronounced so it rhymed with "Gaijin") and set out to conquer the Japanese music scene.

After busking on the streets of Tokyo, Gaijin Invasion was talent spotted by a Tokyo TV show and the ended up performing their party piece on Japanese TV.

So, in honour of Adam and Joe, I nominate Gaijin Invasion as the name for this sub-forum.

"Joint Projects" perhaps. I guess it depends on how involved B-K is in the project.

Which is a problem in itself, because B-K is so nebulous it's impossible to tell staff from visitors!
