Agh! List ... too much. Can you just pick a few songs out, say 10 or fewer must-listen ones? And are these available through the... ahem... usual channels?

I'd recommend High and Mighty Colour, especially their newest album San.
Also Kaela Kimula's album Scratch.

Ahem. Lets stay on the topic of GOOD j-music here.

Right now, I'm listening to mainly Goofy's holiday, excellent band.

Other I recommend are: Maester, Smorgas, Asian Kung Fu Generation, The Pillows, X-Japan, and Beat Crusaders.

Just send me a message on the IRC and I can send em over (not just to TNG).

GuestLol, our irc usage patterns appear to be temporally disjunct. Could you just send me a few next time you happen to be on?

Yeah, X-Japan, The Pillows, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Orange Range, High and Mighty Color, and The Beat Crusaders are good. Also, Dir en Grey has some good stuff if you like something with a bit more edge. Maximum the Hormone is another interesting listen. Do As Infinity and Ali Project also have some unique stuff. I could go on forever on this but will not for everyone's sake, including my own.
