Re: "DO READ" list
So, I began reading "Trinity Seven: 7 nin no Mahoutsukai".
...
I can't actually remember the last time I liked a protagonist so much. I'd probably recommend it to anyone who can tolerate moderate fanservice.

It's when they show stuff that guys are "interested" in. Moderate means a decent amount. Average.
Denpa Kyoushi is interesting.

Re: "DO READ" list
Ahaha. Well, I can see how different opinions on levels could cause some confusion. In my case, I think the way I'd describe it is...
Light: The odd panty shot, maybe some torn clothes, and/or an irregular bath scene with nothing shown. Nothing particularly disturbing.
Moderate: Fanservice is clearly being played up, and shows up regularly, but "anime anatomy" is in effect (i.e. certain "details" aren't drawn... usually) and it's usually side-by-side with an actual plot.
Heavy: Fanservice is clearly the point. "Anime anatomy" may or may not be in effect (details are probably drawn in), and you can expect entire chapters dedicated to little else.
Obviously, fiction having lots of freedom, these are hardly absolutes. More... general guidelines, I think. But I figure you have to be comfortable with having fanservice in your manga in order to enjoy anything Moderate on upwards.
Putting it another way... if it's likely to be banned from a school's library, then it's at least Moderate.

Re: "DO READ" list
I was a Dengeki Daioh subscriber for years but gradually I find the manga there not too suitable to my taste. Right now I am only following manga with serialized chapters available for free online and buy the paperbacks when they are released.
美鬼神伝説 MOMO
http://www.heros-web.com/works/momo.html
This is a recent find. There is a great focus on background detail with overall impeccable art quality. The dark story of survival and "man vs nature" reminds me of Mononoke Hime and Nausicaa (manga version). Like the manga Nausicaa there is no hold-back on R-18 graphic stuff, but it is included realistically to facilitate appreciation of the nature of the alien world instead of for shock value. It is also fun to know that the same author is the one behind Pretty Cure. Talk about working on stuff of completely opposite nature.
There are only like less than 5 lines in the entire chapter and all are of kindergarten level difficulty. Even if you know nothing about Japanese you will have no problem following it, and I do recommend everyone take a look of chapter 1.
メイプルさんの紅茶時間
http://comic.mag-garden.co.jp/eden/460.html
A very soft and relaxing style of art, with Aria-esque slice-of-life episodic stories. Different from Aria however, there is an underlying tension and conflict between the android girl heroine and the robot-hostile public, and the heartwarming stories are about how the girl eventually gains acceptance. Although the heroine always put on a smile, one tends to wonder whether she is genuinely joyful or have some underlying sadness or struggles.

My comedy fix. There is nothing deep about it but the heroine is cute and the story is funny. Basically it is about a powerful but airhead android girl who is hired by a tiny agency to work as an idol. While trying her best to progress in her career she has to shake off her pursuers who seek to destroy her.
こわれかけのオルゴール
http://www.flex-comix.jp/webcomic/pop/orgel.html
This is originally from a doujin anime (Kowarekake no Orgel). Being a fan of it makes it almost compulsory for me to follow its manga series drawn by its original creator (POP). The story is set in an alternate universe with a different plot, so even those who have watched the anime wouldn't feel too repetitive. The manga format also allows more exposition to the background of the characters and greater details in the story. Unlike his illustrations there is nothing jaw-dropping about POP's manga art, but I can't see any glaring defects either.
Btw there is also an interesting one-shot that I recently read. It is almost like a cross-over between Miku and K-ON:

Re: "DO READ" list
Dengeki Daioh still churns out quality manga?
I find myself more into GanGan Joker or Kadokawa comics these days....
I think the only Dengeki manga I still follow is Shana Eternal Song
