No idea... I am not sure of the name in japanese, but what does mekurumeku mean in japanese, if there is any meaning... think it might be the english title... "Mekurumeku Crisis"

I know this won't have much importance on the story, but... can I take a look at the cover?

I am not too sure, but Mekurumeku Crisis is printed on the illustrations page... So I am guessing its the title. Of course, its entirely possible that the chinese translation changed the name, since i find the chinese title more interesting, with the choice of words that depicts both the world crisis in its actual meaning, and upskirting in its meaning as well... But who am i to talk?

So the title used should be mekurumeku crisis i guess?

Dazzling Crisis... Hmm... a little strange for a title.

Could (ha)Mekurumeku [(は)めくるめく] be a pun out of

はめ ; めくるめく and くるめく ? With a meaning like a disaranging outfit which would corresponded with the power of the main char (and the cover pics where the girls hold down their skirts)
sheeting;wrap around/pull up;spin

世界 の 危機 (japanese)

Sekei no Kiki

World Crisis
世界 危機 (chinese ?) those are the same chars in chinese as they are in japanese? (from zh.wiki)

めくるめく! (its always transcribed like one word, but it doesnt exist as a word, right?)

hamekurumeku (The maschine translators translate that as dazzling)

So in the end did google translation translate 世界の危機はめくるめく! as "Dizzying crisis of the world!" and http://honyaku.yahoo.co.jp/ as "The world crisis is dazzling!"

btw. what does those chars mean: 掀起 ? (also from the zh.wiki)
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

The chars have a few meanings... for example u can use them to indicate lifting of skirts, or causing a scene, or a world crisis in this case... So it is dual meaning in a sense... At least, thats what i know from the chinese words.. And it is similar to what you have said. As i do not know japanese it is hard for me to talk about them, so i guess it is up to you guys to decipher the right meanings to it.

While we`re at translating names how would you translate the authors name 佐藤了? As Satou Ryou, Ryou Satou something different? And the Illustrator: 藤真拓哉? as Takuya Fujima?
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

damn... i must be reading too many light novels... Those names reminds me of Light novel characters for some reason...
佐藤了
Reminds me of Sato from Shakugan no Shana...
藤真拓哉
Reminds me of Takeya from Kaze no Stigma...(大神 武哉, Ōgami Takeya?) for some reason...

And they really look like names from Novels... Though i am not sure why...

On a sidenote, the reason why i cant come up with an english title, 掀起 can mean giving rise to, or in the case of this novel, upskirting. But upskirting a world crisis seems like a weird name, and it is not the best of ideas to lose that meaning either, thus, i cant come up with a good english name for it, oh well!
Why not "Whipping Up a World Crisis" if you want to preserve the meaning in English from Chinese? I think it's about the closest thing you can get that sounds a bit more natural.

Sounds like an interesting read and it would be great if we can get one or two translators on it.
