PSP Emulation

So, since I know that some Japanese PSP games will never see the light of day here in the United States, I looked around for a PSP emulator. I found one, but I am practically clueless on how to do this kind of stuff. Emulators are typically so buggy that by the time you have figured out how to work the emulator, you could have finished 5 games. In other words, anyone have any tips here? I am trying to get "The Idolm@ster SP" game to work with the English patch that just came out. The emulator works, but I cannot get the game to work.

I heard that there is a working emulator for PSP, but it can't play all the games.

Yeah, but most of the major game can be played now, thought it is harder to set up compare to pcsx2.
The future is bring for this one thought because it is using java, and it is possible to port it to allmost anywhere.

I use JCPSP, though the first game I want to use it for has some sort of a protection or something.

Well...

the current best options are JPCSP and PPSSPP ( i personally use PPSSPP )

how smooth it runs the game or whether it is playable or not depends on the platform + setting + performance of your device

Sony makes one, of course if you're a developer that makes UMDs.
