Which PS3 games do you think can be considered as "Must have"- games and why?
I have just recently bought a PS3 (I thought it a good deal with two controler and a game), but now I lack some standard games, a good varied/interesting racing game, a beat'em up, a nice coop game, also a good mecha game would be nice, but I think that would be to much to expect to exist. Also any other game recommendation will be noted (if it haven't a PC-adaption) - my idea behind starting this topic (to create a top list), but it don't have to end there

a good varied/interesting racing game: the only one i can think of is Burnout Paradise. How interesting? With DLC you can drive the delorean from Back to the Future. I heard the latest DLC that there will be a map on the moon.
a beat'em up: easily BlazBlue. Made by the same company who did Guilty Gears. heard there is an expanded edition so i would wait it out
also a good mecha game would be nice: only failed one i know is gundam dynasty
a nice coop game: well. um. splinter cell conviction? hasn't come out yet but i heard the prologue will be co-op only....that or sigh Modern Warfare 1/2. I heard the spec ops in MW2 is great for co-op.
Valkyria Chronicles: Is a good strategy game I heard. Unfortunately the sequel is on psp
Metal Gear Solid 4: I heard no one should play this unless they beat the previous three. unfortunately for me i been trying to beat Sons of Liberty for almost 4 years with no progress. really behind. that and be prepared for long cutscenes.
Soul Calibur 4: ehh i have mix reaction. darth vader in it feels so inappropriated.
Demon's Souls: this is the for the hard core rpg. I heard many good things about this one. if you are a masochist i would highly recommend it. the price? thousands of hours for your soul to be suck in.
Armored Core 4: sucks
Uncharted 1 & 2: f*ck the 1st and get the second one. such a huge improvement on everything. platforming (jumping), gameplay (fun multilayer), and others.
Resistance 1: god so old but i guess a classic.
Dead Space: your in for a scary scope. be prepared for the 2nd one.
Game of the Year 2009?: batman arkham asylum. simply the best batman game ever. unfortunately the sequel is coming out meaning something had to happen in the story. don't watch the trailer cause i find it bit spoilerific

You nub both are very good, the second just happens to be better. You should still play the first for the story, and it's cheap now too.

it's just boring. is not like mario (i know is unfair comparison). the jumping is just so simple....yes i know some of the level designs are awesome and very creative (example: zelda map) the main gameplay jump and grab bores me.

Rofl, that was true for about 3 years since the stupid console was released. Only now would I consider buying it, but only if it cost that much back then as it does now.
