Tears to Tiara PC

Synopsis:
A demon king named Arawn is released, a village girl is used as the sacrifice, she becomes his wife, the do shit and save the world while having gratuitous amounts of sex along the way.

Review:
You know what's really funny about this game? How easy it is to get married. By the 2nd hour you're into the game, you'd have around 6 wives. Apparently, people get married in this game faster than the time it takes to milk a cow. And you marry everyone too, no age limitations, no size limitations, no race limitations, no SPECIES limitations. It's quite interesting. Also, apparently all the girls really dig the fact that you have so damn many wives. I.... don't really understand why.

Anyway, the plot is paper thin and the art is relatively strange. It's a game made by the same people who made Utawarerumono and To Heart. The voice acting is quite nice actually, though the script... is very bad. There are a lot of famous voice actors in this one like Yuko Goto and the voice behind Suigintou etc.

The gameplay is something of a RTS / TBS hybrid, which is slightly new. It's a bit cumbersome though. You basically just move units around and they work like an RTS, but when you click someone, you have time to choose an action, like a TBS. The combat is quite boring though. At least you can zoom...

So, in conclusion, if you like to hear your favorite voice actors moan and have orgasms, this is a good game to get. You'd get around... 7 hours of gameplay from it, with little to no replayability.

There's an anime coming out and a PS3 version. Personally, I think the character art in both has been "retouched" for the worse, but it's up to you to decide. No porn in those though, so you don't get to hear Mikuru, Mai from Mai Hime, Kallen Stadtfeld, Rin Tohsaka, Nunnally, Miyu Greer, Shinku, Zel (Towards the Terra), and Rufus Shinra moan, pant, scream, and beg.

Cause hearing old men moan, pant, scream, and beg for sex is so... so appealing.

P.s: You wouldn't believe the roles those voice actors take. Completely and totally different personas from what they are originally, normally cast in. For example, the voice behind Rin Tohsaka in FSN is the one doing the voice for a dimunitive (chibi), insecure gnome-like creature.

P.p.s: The game is technically free because the company, Leaf made a blunder. Read more about it here: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... ource-code

This game is bad.

couldnt even finish playing it...

the art is disfigured. During some CGs, people seem to have longer waists than usual.

The characters were extremely shallow [often just introducing another character just to get another sex scene (which are very numerous and arent very good)]

the plot is boring. But i will admit the begining was pretty good.

and the battles barely make average. Like Umiman said... its like RTS/TBS hybrid. Think of a very bad version of FF12. Another thing is that the battles are EXTREMELY easy. You pretty much have to play on "impossible" difficulty to get any challege. On the lower difficulties you can pretty much just put the characters on auto, and they will win it for you; resulting in times where all you have to do is fastforward the battle to get through it.

Overall, think of a worse version Utawarerumono, with more sex and less of everything else...

But it's free... it's not illegal to get it via other means.

well having hear good things about Agarest, some recommend this game too. but i think they meant the ps3 verison. another thing is that i heard the anime was good too, which follows again the ps3 verison instead of the eroge pc version. but i am sort on the roll of playing visual novel games right now so do you still recommend me to play it? or spare me the hours of my life to play it?

i watched the anime too and didnt really like it either, felt too much like a game and when they are battling your all like "ok we all know your going to win, hurry up with the plot zzz"

the anime is pretty well done visually, but thats about it

as for the game itself....well i heard it gets pretty good in the second half
but i dont think i made it that far, got too bored with it.

i just found it as a worse version of utawarerumono, with less character development, less plot and twists, and less with the little comedy bits that utawarerumono has

one thing it does have more of, is shit-tons of sex scenes. i found myself going "o my god, another one?" *skip skip skip*

but you can go ahead and give it a try

as for more visual novel games recommendations, if you havnt played Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo or Sengoku Rance, i suggest doing those first, i really enjoyed them

btw, heres a nice thread that kinda gives a preview for Sengoku Rance,http://tales.namco.com/forums/viewtopic ... 31c4ed7a8f (the preview continues throughout the thread)

The anime took the character designs from the ps2 but there's no excuse for how the story turned out

You also can't lose the feeling that the game itself wasn't finished, or they were planning a sequel

Rance is infamous for the sex, it just comes with the guy who had wanted to bang 1000 chicks in his lifetime.

I could never seem to convince anyone to try out Sharin no Kuni though >_<
