Help on Installing WinXP Japanese...

Hi everybody! long time i waited to install WinXP in Japanese on my laptop. now i'm done with the cd since I only want it to practice, i created Virtual PC to install it. yet, i cannot set it up because i get the following /error (?)/. don't know what it says *lol* so maybe can someone tell me what's wrong with the setup?? i know how to install WinXP but adventuring on Japanese WinXP is another matter... anyways, the only things i get from the image is:

F3 to quit
S to do sth

I can't read japanese, but I think that means "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" literally translated into english.

I can't read japanese either, but I would seriously suggest installing windows with a language you can understand?

can't read nihongo either.. but the closest i could think of as a cause would be the state of your laptop when you installed it. you say you used it on Virtual PC, maybe that's where the problem lies. perhaps it sees a conflict in installation alongside a version from another region..

why don't you try installing an english version of WinXP on your Virtual PC (whatever that is..) and see what happens.. if you see another BSoD that looks like that error msg from Jap WinXP, then you've got your answer.

You might need a Japanese keyboard for this. I took another look at the picture... And it is asking you to press different buttons, it is not an error i believe.

Press the buttons as indicated below to select *something*

Option 1: 106 Japanese *something* place/setting
Option 2: 101 English *something* place/setting
Option 3(Press 'S' button) : Other *something* place/setting

*Another thing* ended, press f3 to quit.

yay, i did it! had to risk, jeje

@Rectifier: no, it's not

well, i was not an error, it's part of the setup. so, well, i pressed 'S' and the setup started as usual in other WinXP languages, select the disk, etc, etc. so i'm trying to work on it . yet, don't think a japanese keyboard is needed, because it has kinda tool to select in what you want to write, kata, hira, kanji, roma, etc, and the writing system is the same as WaKan. thx for ur help y'all.
