Well, generally it's so they don't suffer, but I haven't seen past episode 4 or 5, the prison break one, so I dunno.

Take the characters from Victory, keep only two of the badass adults, take away most of their piloting skills, then dumb down everything until they have the IQ of everyone from the first half of ZZ

Also add in a potentially overpowered Gundam with a terrible design (dem tail fins)

Did I mention how almost everyone is a terrible pilot? Even a little kid literally did better than the rest of the cast

I miss the protagonist from Z.

Don't know why, but Victory was one of my favorites. And it wouldn't be the first time everyone is outpiloted by. 14-year old.

What about the action scenes? 00 or Turn A?

And the action would make half of the reused fights in Destiny look epic

I think AGE was a bit below sunrise and their usual quality of writing. Now it's just about friendship, (almost) love, and justice. What is this Sailor Moon? The Gundam i know usually has more that stuff from power rangers.

And Sunrise hasn't really been great with their writing these past few years. Seed and 00 eventually turned into trainwrecks

I thought both SEED's were good, but I can't say anything about 00

There's still quite a bit of plot holes left in Seed. Like the ultimate coordinator thing and the factory group supporting Kira's side or even the whale thing they found in Jupiter
