Most sites don't suddenly become flooded with connection requests at the same time

And even the ones that do like firesharing and youtube would have extra servers to lessen the load

Like a bunch of people DDoS'd a bunch of credit card sites because they wouldn't support Wikileaks

Or when everyone rushed to Google News on the day MJ died and forced it to shut down for a while

Once, BakaBT got DDoS'd because some kid felt like it
