It was good.

Not too silly, not too serious, likable characters--everything a good movie needs. Reminds me a lot of that digimon movie by the same director. Also can see many similarities to the girl who leapt through time. The female lead's voice I found a little irritating.

Overall, A. Not an A+, nor an A-, just a solid A.

It feels a lot like the Digimon Adventure movie for some reason

I hope that it will be true, that this movie will hit the movie theaters here too, and then I will have the time to see it.

IMAX only uses digital movies, not reel movies. It didn't matter if they were 3D or not. The quality is better so the screens are about 3x the size or more of a normal theater. It's like comparing a DVD to a VHS. If you haven't watched a movie you enjoy in an IMAX, it's something you should witness once. Star Trek and Transformers made my nipples hard they looked so good!

I already own the Blu-Ray copy, thanks for the heads up though. :P

On a side note (lawl subject) I watched Summer Wars. I give it an average rating. Nothing spectacular, but it definitely wasn't bad. I did enjoy the aspect of the family still protecting Japan after all those years. Some scenes even got me misty eyed. 8)

Ya, I really don't get why so many people are all over Summer Wars.

It was good but not The Place Promised in Our Early Days or Eve no Jikan good. Hell, I'd say Voices of a Distant Star was about the same, if not a bit better.

Or is this the same as the Haruhi hype?
