well i guess its fine and all, but after rummaging Sankaku i still haven't found my treasure: realistic SHnY pics. i mean come on, surely there must still be those who love Her enough to make them? if i'd had the ability i'd step up to the challenge, to bad i wasn't artistically gifted

@ainsoph: that gallery was surprisingly well-done, though a bit painful for my 256Kbps.. other than that, Soi Fong looks a bit frightening, and for the life of me i do not understand why a pic of Rukia makes me think of Hollywood-rendered Severus Snape

The image of the girl that looks like Mio from K-On! with her headphones on is about where I am looking for in terms of the realism. Slightly less realistic ones are ok as long as they do not look like they came straight from a shoujo manga series or something like that. Thanks for looking! I look forward to more pics.

i admit the work you mention is good but in my opinion that doesn't characterize to be realism. i still feel a more anime and manga vibe than real in this illustration. still i enjoy an attempt of fusion. right now i still trying to wrap around my head if redjuice work is realistic or anime or entirely new. is like watching advent children. sure the body proportion is right but those eyes are more in-line manga.

That is one of the things that I have found to be a dead giveaway between anime and realism: the eyes. If it were not for the head, anime for the most part would look real.

of particular interest (imho at least) would be nodoka, mio, taiga, rei, nagi-sama, and i think i saw matsurika as well
