yeah I kind of agree. It was awesome and all but yeah stick to the source material.

I know that this is kind of a dumb question, but why have the fan service in the first place? It kind of spoils the whole mood of having zombies going on a rampage.

The manga was the same.

Think of it as an easy way to fill up the space needed to meet the minimum page/minute requirements. It's also the same reason why some anime recap what happened last episode before the OP

It's disappointing, because so much could have been done with the story. The beginning was great, but it just went downhill after the expedition.

It is kind of like Lewis and Clark if they never met Sacagawea: lost and hopeless with no chance of survival and seeing civilization again.

sigh. I am feeling a bit let down by episode 8. I mean they have this dramatic standown when they could just easily crawl over the fence and such, and the bullet boob time effect? I know it is a fun show but I guess I should stop taking it so seriously and enjoy it for its ridiculousness. I love saeko but her boobs have to move more than 500 mps to dodge those sniper bullets and boobs don't move that way.
