It's a good thing to see them doing an episode to wrap things up. When I first saw the title 'finale', I thought they were going to go all AIR on us again by making the last episode a recap.
Spoiler! :
Honestly I think Nayuki doesn't get enough attention in the entire show. Her arc was really brief, and the only things I remember about it are the Strawberry Cake and Akiko getting hit by a car. She seems pretty minor throughout the series, which was kinda disappointing to me. Was her role bigger in the game/Toei 2002?
I think she got shafted a bit in the Toei version too if I remember right. I think the problem with Nayuki's arc is that to have an Ayu ending you just can't really go into her story too much, they're linked more than all the other arcs. If we had a Nayuki ending we would have probably seen less Ayu in return.
It seems to me that Nayuki didn't even get an arc after all. It was just about Akiko getting rammed and her mopping about it in her room, plus the little snow bunny and marble bit. Other than that her story is pretty bland >.<
Still liked Shiori's story the best. Even though it was short, it struck me as the most realistic one.
