Is it possible to write a shoujo light novel?

I was wondering about this for a long time...

I've seen a lot of Shoujo manga and I haven't really seen or read any Shoujo light novels.

Yep, I haven't seen any myself but I'm sure they're out there. I mean, I found a mahou shoujo light novel :D .

There are actually quite a few shoujo novels. In comparison, the numbers are less, so they may not appear so significant. Also, some titles are pretty good, so much so that they don't seem like shoujo novels despite them actually being so!

Free plug: Maria-sama ga Miteru is also shoujo - but that's a pretty broad category.

It's not mahou shoujo, despite the strange white ball of light in Yumi's hand on the cover of volume 1.
