Jaguars (1-0) vs. Jets (1-0) Jets No question - Kira: Jones-Drew can run, Gabbert can cause surprises. Mike Thomas is a star-to-be.TP: Again, QB play?
Browns (0-1)vs. Colts (0-1) Browns I knew this would happen the moment Peyton Manning was out. Browns to win, run it in all day, Peyton Hillis - Kira: Yeah, right, Colts’ def sucks against the rush. But if Collins/Painter can get the ball to his receivers, the game might turn around. I mean, Wayne, Collie, Garçon and Gonzalez are great or good WRs.TP: I rather the Colts go with Addai. Peyton's like their OC, so hopefully he can run calls from the bench.
Cards (1-0) vs. Redskins (1-0) Cards No, I don't think the Redskins had it lucky last week, but nobody on their defense is able to guard Larry Fitz all game. - Kira: Hard to say anything against it, but Kerrigan is a good rookie linebacker, DeAngelo Hall can try against Fitz and Atogwe has maybe slowed down, but can play well.I don't know. Kolb prefers to throw to his tight ends, so Hall would most likely be covering them inside.
Bucs (0-1) vs. Vikings (0-1) Buc McNabb's definitely off his prime, Vikes' leading receiver Harvin is not as good as Desean at route running, and Bucs run D is pretty good. Josh Freeman should torch their secondary. - Kira: If Jared Allen sacks Freeman two or three times, Former ND TE Rudolph play like Hernandez with the Pats last year, and Jenkins give a good performance with Harvin, Minnesota gets the W.TP: These are big ifs. Bucs OL isn't that weak. I'll prefer if they just pound it in with AP.
Packers (1-0) vs. Panthers (0-1) Packers They're the champs for a reason - Kira: Cam Newton was the first overall pick for a reason.TP: Top Rookie vs Champ? Even Michael Vick couldn't dominate the Rams when he came into the league.
Bears (1-0) vs. Saints (0-1) Bears Their offenses are about matched, but bears pass def definitely better than Saints - Kira: Thomas is a decent RB, Sproles and Ingram were added and Colston is a good WR. Should be enough for Brees.TP:Which is why it's good enough for Brees. I'm not worried about the Saints' offense, they showed that they can score. But can they defend?
Seahawks (0-1) vs. Steelers (0-1) Steelers The Steelers been there, done that, the seahawks ain't there. You can never write the Steeler off. - Kira:I wouldn’t bet against a group of great receivers in fromer ND-Golden Tate, former Viks Sidney Rice and Mike Williams. Zach Miller is not the one we expected, but is still a good TE.TP: But can Matt Hasselback deliver? Rice is a stud, the rest aren't exactly proven in the NFL. Cowboys (0-1) vs. 49ers (1-0) Cowboys No matter how bad the Cowboys are, you can't go worse than the 49ers with Alex Smith at QB. - Kira: 49ers have Crabtree and Edwards. And salary cut didn’t really affect Ted Ginn. And Kaepernick will end up playing instead of Alex Smith if things go bad.TP:Yeah, andthe 49ers will just go to Frank Gore again. The Cowboys' secondary isn't exactly bad, you know.
Chargers (1-0) vs. Patriots (0-0) Patriots Regular season winner vs Super Bowl winner, I'll take the super bowl - Kira: I take the Regular season winner instead. Rivers, Mathews, Jackson, Gates, and former Colts Bob Sanders. TP: This is a toss-up, I agree, but I'll still stick with the Pats since Brady's the more consistent one.
Bengals (1-0) vs. Broncos (0-0) Bengals Does anything look right with the Broncos? – Kira: Yep, there is. TIM TEBOW!!! (Even though he probably won’t play) TP: Sighs
Texans (1-0) vs. Dolphins (0-0) Texans Nobody on their team can cover Andre Johnson all game. - Kira: Yes there is. Vontae Davis has the potential. However, he will only limit the damage, and the one who’ll stand out is probably Brandon Marshall and…Reggie Bush? TP: Don't forget that the Texans have Arian FosterEagles (1-0) vs. Falcons (0-1) Eagles Eagles Offense about = Falcons Offense, if not better with Vick at QB. Both OLines are bad, Eagles Pass D > Falcons Pass D - Kira: Matt Ryan can rivalize Vick as a QB. And did you forget Brent Grimsa and Dunta Robinson? Not as good as Asante Samuel, of course, but still good. TP: No, I didn't forget about them, but this game is going to go down as a battle of speed, and the last time the Eagles had Kolb at QB they utterly demolished the Falcons (Granted, it was at LFF). I expect John Abraham to be heavily involved in this game seeing as Jason Peters is questionable. Maybe Michael Turner can ram quite a lot of yardage, but the main key in this match will be Roddy White vs Nnamdi. Place bets on this now.
Rams (0-1) vs. Giants (0-1) Giants Rams got no Steven Jackson and Danny Amendola, their leading receiver, Giants to win this easily. - Kira: Sam Bradford can manage without. Danario Alexander really surprised me last year, and former Jags Sims-Walker plays. TP: Sims-Walker's a no.2, not a no. 1. Their receivers are possession types, not speedy. I'm guessing the Giants will pound the ball this time. The Rams Linebackers don't scare me.
Note that I view pass D as more important than run D as that's the current trend in the NFL. This is a passing league, as we saw in that season opener. - Kira: Reminds me of the CFL here. Hell, how many times did the Falcons pass last game? TP: They will be aggressive, no doubts.
