Learn Japanese book

Post by Muffinman »

Well, this may sound stupid but here it goes:

I have been planning to learn Japanese for a while now but since I am still only 16 I don't have the money to take lessons : l So I was wondering if anyone on these forms knew of any good books that taught you have to read and/or speak Japanese? If they were free that would be an added bonus, but they don't have to be.

Japanese for Busy People (Several volumes defined by skill level)

Berlitz: Japanese -- Concise Dictionary

Barron's Japanese Grammar

And don't forget a lot of time, patience, and dedication.

I've always considered the way to learn a language would to be to buy that's language's children books. Never have tried it, but just posing that idea for you.

I don't think doing that is such a good idea -- if you decide you don't want to learn anymore, you already speak like a child anyway.
