Thank you for your translation of this. Though I didn't care for the initial story, I appreciate the effort put into this (as it allows those of us that prefer to read novels instead of watching TV or reading comics have a fuller experience.)

Does it get better in the later volumes?

Well, the sexual tension between the two is amusing, anyway ... a human Familiar ...

I would help, but I don't know Japanese nor Chinese (despite the fact that I have 9 raw volumes in my pc), so I probably would be useless, but if there's something that I can do, that would be great.

Greetings to everyone. Thank you very, very much for the translations.

Just yesterday I finished the two Anime seasons. There are not many things that can make me cry anymore, but the second season managed to do it. Thus I was on the hunt for the DVDs on the net when I found out it was based on a novel series. A little looking around later I found this place through the Baka-Updates site.

Read the first volume immediately and was hooked to the story which seems to be much more cohesive than the anime was. With a few naughty bits left out this could very well be a fairy tale to tell your kids.

It was also a nice surprise to find out the series will be translated into english (August? Nooo!), but until then the good work you are doing will keep me interested. I hope the english translation will be as good as this project's are. Otherwise I hope I will one day manage to get through med school so I can have time to learn how to read the originals.

For now however, with that goal far off I can only thank you again and hope the second volume's completion won't be too long in coming. Already I'm itching to read on, discontinuity be damned.

Wish you the best.

Yes I'm also here to give thanks to the everyone who is devoted to the project. Too bad, I was hoping I would be some of help, but I have yet to learn the language. And the translation sites out there are total crap. True that the season 2 made me sad (If it didn't make me cry, it depresses me, but most of the time it makes me depressed). And after finding out that JC staff kind of screwed up season 2 I was sad, my last hope is the translation of the novel. Good luck to everyone!

God I love you guys for this!

I can speak for at least three of my friends too.
They didn't bother signing up on the forums though.

Great job!

The existence of such projects are nice, (but...). I've just begun to read Zero no Tsukaima and have already finished vol 1 and are now at vol 2 ch 4 , but I dont think that I can bear/stand the series much longer or till the end. The protagonists as it seems to me are or act or seems to be plain stupid. Is there hope that this will somehow do change till the end? or is this a useless hope?
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

All I can say is: The story will begin to pick up speed starting the end of Vol 2 and Vol 3. That's where the story will start expanding. And for most of us (I believe), we like it because of the story, which is simple to understand and at the same time, interesting.

As for the "stupidity" of the characters, personally, I find that rather (as you say) stupid sometimes, but most of the times, amusing. But to answer our question, it will not subside. So after the plot development, if you still find that trait of the novel unbearable, then ZnT is nor your cup of tea. Try other genres of light novels then.
