Assassin here on Hunter mode. Also, this topic requires some of you translators' expertise. (Indeed, this novel requires it lol )

I recall lurking in the Kinokuniya bookstores in my country's capital like a few times weekly and saw this. And I thought this might be interesting.

However, there's no English source of information for it >.<

Here goes nothing as of what I can find. Guys if you can recognize the cover and the title immediately amend whatever information you have on this novel! Because I think this novel looks interesting. WOOT

Title is MISUMARUKA Koukoku Monogatari, which I can't interpret correctly. Should be "Legend of The Prosperous ______" or something like that. It's the name of a country name in the novel, but... for some reason I think of reading it as "Mismarca" or something, but I am afraid my interpretation is wrong. So, HELP! XD

I could, but I'm having a hard time trying to translate the synopsis. This is the excerpt I got from the Japanese Wikipedia:

場所は大陸。時は戦乱。南にグランマーセナル帝国。北のゼピルム共和国。2つの強国に挟まれた中原にその国はあった。自由と平和を愛するその国の名はミスマルカ。後に策謀という名の猛毒を以って、大陸全土を震撼させることになる国の名前である。

... which is why I need Japanese translators to help a bit >_<

Basically, I guess this is about a king of a country and his... knightress (I smell chemistry between those two, which is the main factor that attracts me to this novel) leading his country in a war between the two countries involved in the novel.

Unable to read Japanese, but I can guess some parts of this...

The setting is set in China, during times of war. To the south lies the empire of グランマーセナル, to the north the allied ゼピルム.(very uncertain from this point onwards) The two strong nations are caught at the middle plains. There is a country based on freedom and peace and love called ミスマルカ. A plot behind the scenes strikes the lands like a deadly poison, shocking the entire China.

Until someone can translate the Japanese text, i guess you can take this to be valid?

Yes. But the country setting: China? Wow. Whatever, unless someone can read these wall of Japanese text through and reveal the real deal to us, there should be no problem I think.

Strangely, after you said that, my interest in this novel is going even more.

Was thinking about it a bit more, perhaps the term "mainland" is more suitable? So it may not necessarily be China despite how 大陸 is often used to talk about China. It may be taken literally as a large land(continent?).

Speaking of war, i would still prefer legend of hero of legend... that is funny and the chemistry if funny.

That's what I think. I read the translation of 大陸 literally as "continent" instead of China. Because the novel's realm is made up.

I would like to request "Mismarca Koukoku Monogatari " as a english translation project .

Plot (taken from BakaUpdate):
Mahiro is the prince of the Mismarca Kingdom, he won't study nor learn sword skills, he is a lazy prince who only plays until late night. His Imperial Bodyguard Pariel would always scold him for his behaviour. And towards that Mismarca Kingdom an elite squad from the Demonic Kingdom Granmarsenal is aproaching. The Leader of the squad is Lunas, a warrior princess, the third Princess of Granmarsenal. All of Mismarca's vassals voiced their will to fight and bring all-out war, although there is a man who said cowardly "Why don't we have a talk with them?". What kind of fate awaits the Mismarca Kingdom and its useless Prince, Mahiro?


This novel seems quite interesting with good reviews and also the few manga chapters released are pretty good.

strange names... i assume the ・were put there as a space in between their names

for a sec i thought that the last name was Eden Fart, maybe, but unless its a joke in the story i doubt it

I prettied it up with a couple english conventions but it basically means
On the Mainland war strikes between the Grand Maasenaru Empire of the south and the Northern Zepirumu Republic; there lies a country sandwiched in the middle. The peace and liberty-loving country of Misumaruka. Subsequently they merged with a Country named Moudoku[Deadly Poison], the name of the country that would resound throughout the continent.

Moudoku 猛毒 or deadly poison is what i interpreted as the countries name, but i could (probably not though) be mistaken.
more likely there was some furigana above 猛毒 but its not on here so Moudoku it'll stand for now.
if you find it though ill be happy to correct it
