Makai Senki Disgaea Novels Suggestion

Here's a short summary for those new to the series: Laharl awakens from a two year slumber to find his father dead and his kingdom in chaos as contenders vie for the empty throne. While everyone's out to claim the kingship, his only loyal companions are a conniving vassal named Etna and a ditzy angel trainee named Flonne. Featuring devious angels, space visitors from Earth, demon penguins with fanny packs, and more—Laharl must whip his kingdom back into shape before he can claim it, and there's nothing heaven, hell, or earth can say about it! - Broccoli Books

The first volume was liscensed and announced by Broccoli Books--sadly, the company had to shut down early this year and thus gave up rights (and most likely stopped translating the novel) to this series. As of currently there have been no announcements by anyone of the Disgaea novels being picked up again and Broccoli Books quietly died with no further posts to their website's blog. Even the Disgaea manga, as well as other miscellaneous manga series, are left incomplete now. There have been requests for a liscened translation on Nippon Ichi America's official website, each request gathering numerous votes and reaching the top spots on their Wish List, but NISA hasn't said any official word about what they'll do.

So... being a dear fan who highly anticipated the release I figured it wouldn't hurt to suggest this awesome series here for any translators or up-and-coming translators who might be interested sometime.

Oh, just for your information, I read the first two volumes of the novel already... Somehow the bookstore i visit did not put vol 3 up, while vol 4 and 5 are still there... So basically, I probably wont be reading any further...

For all you Disgaea fans out there, you would probably know all about volume 1. Don't ask me how, but they squeezed basically almost everything in the game into volume 1, with a lot of things left uncovered. From Volume 2 on, the story goes after the game.

Well, from what i know, this does not have a legal translation. However, this might be risky, since as most of us do know, their games do get translated into english, so the chances of them spotting it being translated is relatively higher... Not that I know if they will take any actions...

Darklor, no offense, but perhaps it might be better NOT to add in polls? Because by adding in polls, it seems to give the feeling that if there is enough "yes" responses, it will be taken up as a project... which is not true, since we do not have any translators for it...

Hmm, Maybe, but it is in the forum rules that new project petitions DO need a poll, as I understand those...

I tried to contact the person at yinza but they seem to be too busy to continue doing the novels they also said they werent going to go much further then the fourth novel so I'd like to request if Baki Tsuki could consider doing the novel one more time?
