Still I think most would wish you would just translate more as that you divide your time between translating and editing ;)

True there are a few of us editors out here and some are even around regularly that need to be kept busy and the best way to do that is give us some thong to work on ie translated material. :D

Same as above.

I am a bit busy right now, but I am 100% sure I can make time for at least 1 hour, maybe 2 hours, of editing every day. At the very least, 4 days a week, or equivalent.

Reply if anything's available, as I'm willing to jump on anywhere, though I would like to be an editor for To Aru if at all possible. It is my favorite series.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply!

I was just wondering, is there anything that needs editing badly? I presume the sections that have been tagged as "Preview" need a look through?

Maybe, but some of those are also old so maybe not so much...

Well, I kinda decided to just go through all of the currently "Full Text" volumes of Index, i.e. 7-13 and see what I can do. I've done about 16 pages from volume 7, and it's mostly been adding little things, like commas, to break up super long sentences, adding the "." to St. George, and changing articles. I did switch around word order and stuff in some places to make awkward sentences a little clearer.

Oh right, I've been doing the edits on a copy-pasted Word document, so once I'm done, should I send that to someone? There were a few places where what was being said wasn't quite clear, and I had some doubts whether my edits were correct or even needed.

Edit: Oh, 12 and 13 are marked "Preview". Is anyone planning to do anything with that? I won't get there anytime soon, but it would be nice to know.

Changes are normaly done direct in the wiki - only dedicated editors if they exist get a first script before they are published. Aall other changes are done direct in the wiki for that is it a wiki

Hi all--first post :).

I've done a fair bit of reading here, but haven't made much in editorial changes. I guess I got scared off by the project pages telling us readers to contact the tl's before making changes :p. After 'taking' so much, I figure it's probably about time for me to give back a little. But I have a very solid grasp on the English language (born/raised in the US, engineering degree) and would be very happy to help out with editing/proofreading. I have taken a small amount of Japanese, but it's faded in the last couple years; I can still get the basics, but you go beyond the greetings and I'm starting to get real foggy ;).

If anyone wants to point me inthe direction of a project that can use some help, I'd appreciate it!

Don't mind the 'contact the translators thing', it's only intended for the project editors who work more closely with the translators. Casual editors can just edit however they want. Of course, if you edit something wrongly then someone will edit it back.

Heh, will do then. But if there's any project that directly needs help, I'm available :).
